Hi everyone!

Rate this Entry
It's been over a year since I last checked in.

Everything has been great. Last I posted I was taking topamax for my migraines, well, that medication was horrible. Made me lose a lot of my hair (all growing back now thank goodness!), made me very forgetful, I just couldn't think straight so I had enough and stopped taking it. While on it I also lost so much weight it scared me. I went down to 116lbs (I am nearly 5'5" and small framed to begin with) and was worried I'd lose more so I went to my dr and with his helped weaned off of it safely.

Well, once I came off of it, the weight started coming back on in a bad way even though I always eat p3 style. NO sugar ever and rarely ever breads, etc. Again went to my dr and he suggested another round of hcg before it got worse. I had gone up to 134 with my stabilized weight prior to the med at 126. With loading I got up to 137.4.

Today I am on VLCD5 and have lost 7lbs so far, yay. I know 3 of it was loading weight. I'm sorry I'm back on it, but as we discussed (my dr and I) it was the med that seemed to have messed up my body. So I feel doing this will get me back on track.

BTW, I exercise 3 times a week with a personal trainer since March. Looking at me, you can't tell where the weight has come back on and I'm more muscle now. But I can tell it all came back in my waist. My trainer measures me every 6 weeks and I was up to 1 1/2" around my waist in a 6 week time frame. Not good.

I figure nipping it in the butt now was better than it getting worse.

I know I have not failed or fell off the wagon. I know this is bc of that med and I just needed to cleanse my body and start all over.

I'm glad I won't have to do any other rounds besides this one.

The only thing that sucks is that I'm going through Christmas with this. But, I am strong and I will get through it. My husband feels bad for me, but I figure I'll be done on January 9th which isn't too far away. It's just 3 weeks of hcg (a little over with loading and the 72 hours), but it's so worth it. And it'll be just after my anniversary so we can have a nice dinner together.

What gets me through these days, especially during the holiday is each day i have so much to do that I'm pretty distracted and forget to eat on time as it is.

Tuesday we went to Disneyland, that was a little hard with people snacking everywhere.

Wrapping gifts, last minute shopping, things I have set up daily to help keep me distracted and strong.

I really thought I'd never have to do this again. But, oh well. I just know I'll never touch that medication again. Oh and yes I am getting my migraines again, with the drop in blood pressure which put me on the med to begin with.

Oh, I told my trainer I was on the diet so we cut back to twice a week light cardio only, or whatever I can manage. She is awesome.

Anyhow, I recognize many names here and see many new. HI!
