I'm on the Highway to Health!

P3 Week 1 Success!!

Rate this Entry
My appointment with my chiropractor yesterday went great and he fixed me right up! He's a holistic doctor so he does muscle testing and all types of alternative therapy. We learned/reconfirmed that pecans are NOT my friend. They were the cause of my back going out on Wednesday night. I also had him test me for a couple of other things and did fine with Brazil nuts, but I have to be careful with avocado (which we already knew), but I can eat them every few days. I wanted him to test me for walnuts but I didn't have any.

My weight was back down today to 127.9, putting me at 2 lbs under LIW. I felt so good after my chiro appointment that I took a walk on the lake with hubby after dinner. My idea of a perfect Valentine's date. <3.

Here's my menu from yesterday:

B: green juice, 2 mugs BP coffee
S: fruit salad: 1/2 diced orange, 1/2 diced apple, 1 tsp shredded coconut
L: big veggie salad with homemade dressing, chicken thigh & leg
S: fruit salad: 1/2 diced orange, 1/2 diced apple, 1 tsp shredded coconut
D: heart shaped beef patty, homemade coleslaw, heart shaped - frozen berry filled cocoa crack, cocoa crack dipped strawberries
S: small grapefruit

I had more fruit than usual yesterday, but like I've said before, I don't have any trouble eating fruit in P3/maintenance.

TGIF!!

What kind of home made dressing are you using for salad??
  2. marvless's Avatar
Equal parts EVOO & vinegar (I mix red wine vinegar, white & ACV)
Dashes of: garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt
Dashes of dried spices: dill, basil, oregano
    1 crushed garlic clove
1 squeeze mustard (spicy, dijon or regular)
    little bit of stevia

Combine everything and shake well. I like to run it through my NutriBullet to get a thicker consistency. The dressing will get better the longer it sits. I don't know how long it keeps because I go through a bottle a week. This is a really good base recipe that you can tailor to whatever taste you're going for. Sometimes I'll add juice from an orange, grapefruit or lemon. You can also use it as a marinade for meat.

? about your NutriBullet do you it for you bp coffee...I have a magicbullet but was worried about mixing HOT coffee in it. Anytime I mix anything hot in it it really builds up pressure. Just wondered. I know the NutriBullet is better that the magicbullet..

That's funny you ask Willa! Hubby and I we're just talking about this. We've been using our new NutriBullet, but we both agreed we like the froth that we get better with our MagicBullet. We don't have any problems with pressure. Maybe our coffee maker isn't hot enough!

So good to hear you are feeling better, Marv! Poopy about Pecans, but at least you know! Ahh, your Valentine's Day date/walk sounds soooo nice!

I'm not familiar with the nutribullet. I'm going to have to check that out. I asked for a Magic Bullet (for like the last 10 years now...lol) but I got a Ninja system instead. Don't get me wrong, I love it and it works great! But a lot of pieces to clean sometimes.

"Heart shaped beef patty".....AWESOME! Have a great day of feeling great and looking good, girl!

Shelli, I highly recommend the NutriBullet. It's what I've been making my green juices in. It takes about 10 seconds to clean.

Girl, I'm on that like flies on cow patties! I'm going to grind up my soup lol...and come scour the internet for a NutriBullet! 10 second clean is right up this chicks alley! Have a great day!

So glad you are feeling better! I went to a muscle testing doctor for help with my son (when he was young) with his asthma. It turned out he was very allergic to olives...who knew...I had been making olive bread for the past three weeks! I have not been to such a doctor in years but would LOVE to. What a help.

I thought I posted earlier. I miss my daily salads with homemade dressing. I really miss olive oil in my salads, and cheese, and nuts, etc. I can't wait till P3.
