Adventures in HCG

HCG Newbie, Start date: 3/22/2011

So I am starting this blog to keep me accountable and share my story. Any advice is welcome!

I started my 30s at my highest weight - 260lbs and encountered a desperation and helplessness that I don't wish on anyone. The next couple of years consisted of extensive yo-yo dieting to say the least.

Today, hovering around 245 lbs, I am determined to create lifestyle changes that will keep the weight off. I witnessed firsthand a few co-workers on HCG and watched them transform.

I admit I was skeptical, but the more research I did, the more sense it made, and now I am embarking on my own journey - this is no longer a spectator sport, it's my turn!

Goal - 30 lbs.

Phase 2, VLCD - Day 7

Blog is a little late, but so far have lost 3 lbs. Ended up cheating on VLCD Day 2 and gained 2 lbs, then stalled. Hopefully I can still hit my goal weight. I just don't seem to be losing as much as others, but I will stick to it.

I am using the homeopathic drops, slightly hungry at times, but water helps.

    I wish you the very best. I'm using drops as well. I get hungry at times, but it's not ravenous hunger, so drinking water, like you, helps. I look forward to following your blog!

    Welcome to HCG! It's a great ride once the mysterious, frustrating, and sometimes scary bits are out of the way.

    Whenever I get hungry I put a tablespoon or two of Apple Cider Vinegar into a tall glass of cold water and sip on that. When I know I'm going to be out for the day I put ACV in a water bottle, or take a small container full to add to water bottles if it's going to be the entire day.

    That's how I felt for most of my first P2 as well.

    But please remember this - others might seem like they are going great guns on the weight loss (more than you), but what you lose is yours to celebrate. All yours. And when you think of it that way, it's fantastic!

    And that's what this diet is all about. You. How you adjust your relationship to food, how you find what works for you, and even how to fix what isn't working.

    Note: I'm a newbie too but I've been through P2 and I've almost finished with P3 so I feel like I've gone through the fire! Hah! Apparently each round is slightly different so goodness knows what going to happen next. But I'm excited about it. Bring it on baby, bring it on :-)

    This will work for you, it's about having the right mind set. I'm new to hhcg as well and doing the homeopathic drops. I too get hungry, but I think mine is more because my schedule is erratic because of work. So for me its more about timing my meal spacing better. Good luck on your journey.
