1st Blog Post, VLCD12 - August 31, 2010

This is my first round of HCG. I go to a clinic that is fairly priced and adheres to the Simeon's protocol. I am day vlcd12 and am down a little over 10 pounds. I like the blog so I can write down what I did for the day, how I ate, etc so it can help me and possibly help others.

Sept 1, 2010 - I am so crabby today. Didn't sleep at all. I ache all over but it is from my fibromyalgia because I had days like this before dieting. I am up .8 but I know it is fluid, I am barely peeing. I plan on drinking hot mineral/electrolyte water and taking a mineral detox bath (epsom salts) in hope of having a drop and a BM.

Sept 2, 2010 - So yesterday was my state boards and I didn't weigh or take my shot. I did eat off plan. Once with a cheat in the middle of the night (so nervous) and one that was planned before I even knew what hcg was (sushi). The middle of the night cheat gave me horrible diarrhea.
I started my period this morning and I have already had 3 liters of water today! Even before then, I felt like a huge water bottle, just all jiggly and bloated.
Back on track today. Not even hungry. I see why you don't have to take hcg on your period, no hunger.
I wasn't able to weigh until I got home from work so I am sure that exacerbated the increased weight but I know it will all drain off. I might do a steak day, mainly because I don't want a whole lot to eat and I think it would help.

Sept 3, 2010 - I was miserable last night, so bloated and drinking, drinking, drinking. I drank probably close to a 1.5 gallons last night but it paid off. I am down 4 pounds this morning and I don't feel like a walking water balloon.
I took it real easy today. Since I took my boards and was having TOM I said today was going to be a sleep late, long hot bath, and movie day/night.
Speaking of hot bath, I am missing my usual lotions and scrubs. I am using my hair conditioner but I have been trying not to wash my hair very much because it has been so dry. I don't put it on my scalp, just from the nape of my neck to the ends. I still use deodorant, Secret. I still use my regular toothpaste.
I am finding I can't eat at Chili's much any more. The taste of their meat is horrible to me now because I can taste the crap they inject into it. The cleaner I eat, the less crap I can tolerate.
That's about it for today. I hope the blogging of my journey will be able to help someone else reach their goal one day or at least help them stay on track and not give up.
