  1. Yesterday= high confidence day!

    I don't understand HOW this diet works, but here Are some things I know:

     it really does work
     it changes the way you eat by 180 degrees
     it changes your cravings for sweets (diminishes them!)
     it keeps weight off

  2. Last 2 days of P3 and random thoughts...

    Well, the last 2 days of P3 didn't bring a change at all to my weight. Overall, I stabilized quite well, without too many fluctuations. The interesting part of this journey is that the ONE real steak day I had was due to not eating enough the day before. I had been running around, and not enough cals or fat. Once I added in the almonds, I stabilized right away. It was snacking on raw almonds all day that helped me with cals and the increase good fats.

  3. P3 Day19 feelin' kinda full

    Back up to 118 = LDW
    Not too bad of a menu... The only variable was my ladies luncheon. Great collection of salads, but I am sure the ones I had were vinegarette with sugar. I didn't freak out about it though, I figure it wasn't bad to cheat on a salad!

    Breakfast: scrambled eggs with cheese
    Snack: almonds with 1/3 protein bar and tea with cream
    Lunch: variety of salads, not much protein at all
    Snack: protein shake with Greek yogurt and berries ...
  4. P3 Day 18 - freaky high calorie count scared me!

    Okay, yesterday I ended up doing a calorie count... Just for the heck of it. Freaked me out to see myself in the upwards of 1800-1900! had problems falling asleep after that!

    This morning... DOWN 0.6! This is why this diet makes no sense to me and why I had issues maintaining in P3r2 last time. This round, I have been having half and half and hvy cream at every possible moment. I have been pretty stable.

  5. P3 Day 17 - Confidence paid off

    Yup, you read it right... back down 0.6lb to 118 (+2 LDW), so it looks like that's my stabilization point. I actually ate well last night. Had a mixture of meat and veggies and also had a big huge latte with skim milk (I don't like using skim - too many carbs). Still, down 0.6 today!

    That makes me very happy because things were out of my control yesterday and usually, I would have stressed about it.

  6. P3 Day 16 - Above LDW, but not worried about it

    Weighed in this morning and was surprised to see 118.6! It was 0.6 above LDW. There could be several things here:

    1. pigging out!
    2. water retention (always the culprit)
    3. just a glitch

    I am not one to starve myself... it's not pretty. Also, we have a dinner to go to tonight, so I can't do a steak day. SOOOOO... I decided not to worry about it. I feel a little like Scarlet O'Hara about it ("I'll worry about it tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day!"), ...
  7. P3 days 14 & 15 feelin' more confident...

    Yesterday had two eating pitfalls:
    1. It was Saturday
    2. We had a wedding to go to

    Turned out that neither mattered! How nice is that!

    Breakfast: 1 protein pancake, 1/2 protein bar, cup of tea
    Lunch: salmon, green beans, fresh berries
    Snack: 1/2 protein pancake, tea, almonds
    Dinner: went out to eat, had salmon hungry, I guess! Salmon, greens, roasted cauliflower, bite of creme brle

  8. P3 Day 13 Settling in nicely to +2 ldw

    I am finally feeling like I am settling into my 118 pounds. It is a good feeling to feel like there is some control over P3. The introducing new things into one's diet can be just a bit stressful. Now that I pretty much have brought everything in, it is easier on my nerves to eat during the day and plan to go out with friends.

    Menu for yesterday:
    Breakfast- 1 protein pancake with tea
    Snack - orange slices, nuts, coffee with cream
    Lunch - ground beef with sauted ...
  9. P3 - Days 11 & 12 back to the edge, but it's okay

    Seems like 118 is where my body wants to stay... Traveling on P3 is a little bit of a challenge. I am so happy I introduced Atkins bars the other day. We went for an overnight stay at my in-laws home and I took my Atkins shake and a bar with me. Also took 2 apples for snacks.

    Day 11's menu
    Breakfast - 1/2 protein pancake & tea with cream
    Lunch - 1 & 1/2 hamburger patty with cheese and tomato
    Snack - handful almonds
    Dinner - salad with oil & ...
  10. P3 Day 10 - water weight comes off + protein pancakes!

    So happy that it was mostly water yesterday... I was peeing like a racehorse all day, so not a good day to take my kids to watch a 2+ hour movie. Had to apologize to the poor people sitting by us! How embarrassing!

    I was back to 118 this morning. I am good with that, looks like that's where I may be stabilizing. I made protein pancakes this morning... Let me tell you how delish they were!!!
