Haven't done a "blog" yet, and it's 20 days into this protocol. But have decided to do one, as it is almost like a diet journal. I like journaling, and have actually been keeping one off line of my hcg journey. And that is what it is. I find if I just worry about the end of the round, it's much more difficult. Instead I'm trying to use the "everyday" everyday to learn, (mostly from other people's blogs, and the forums) and to experiment with seasonings and menus, trying to carefully stay on protocol.

I'm a grandmother of three. Don't feel my age, even my doctor says I don't look my age, which makes me more determined to lose a few of these excess pounds. I really want to be the best I can be at any age. After all, age is largely just a number. So here I am.

HCG has been a godsend to me. I luv this protocol. Have lost 17.8 lbs since starting. Actually had gained some this summer. It was a long, hot summer and hubby and I had a good time, noshing together. But I'm not ready to just give up on feeling good about myself, and looking good, either. Nothing wrong with that, at any age. I luv watching Dancing with the Stars and the older people are always an inspiration. That Florence Henderson, isn't she a cutie at 76?! What I hope to be at that age.!

Anyway will try and start journaling more here than in my notebook. If someone else reads it and gets encouraged in anyway, that'd be good--if not, I'll be able to look back and reflect on how I felt, during this Round 1.

  1. And so a Week gone by.....vlc day 7

I'm am so busy these days I may not blog everyday, but I do think it helpful. Especially when people respond to the blog--somehow my blog isn't allowing responses. Don't know what I've done, but plan to email Jarret later and see if he can advise how to change that!

Today is a beautiful sunny, Sunday--I will be busy most of the day, but want to record my first weeks loss---this is vlc #7, and I have dropped 8.6 lbs. I'm pleased with that. On what other protocol could I see ...
  2. Off and Running!

The blog title seems appropriate, after all I am here in Derby City! Well first two vlc days were not all that eventful. Perfectly on protocol, and only lost 1lb each day at weigh in. This was my vlc3 weigh-in, and yoohoo, it still works. Down 3.8 this am. So, off and running! Awesome.

Today, I stayed on protocol, and it was very difficult. At work They brought in Sub sandwiches, chips, dip, red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese dressing, sweet tea (we are in the south), ...
  3. Yep, I am BACK.

Can't believe I am back again. And OH how I need to be here. Initially started on hcg in September 2010 Had very good success. But here I am, about 2 1/2 years later, I find myself back. I am conflicted on whether or not to blog, it takes time and since going back to work almost two years ago, time is one of my most precious commodities. But when I look back at my posts, I see that it really did help me to blog. To keep track of my journey. To read other blogs and hear of the success ...

  7. P3, Day 6

Ok, so day 4 of P3 didn't go so well. Was up in weight some Saturday a.m. But then on Sunday a.m., I weighed in and found I had lost .8 of a lb., so was only .8 above last dose weight. Didn't get a chance to blog my food intake for yesterday. So here goes Sunday's menu:

Breakfast: (3) small no-sugar added sausage patties, coffee with SF French Vanilla Creamer.

Mid morning Snack: 1 cup of 2% Fage Yogurt, flavored with 1 tsp of Hershey's Unsweetened Chocolate Cocoa, ...
  8. P3 Felt Awesome Yesterday, Today (day 4) Not so Much!

Ok, bad news. Weighed in this 4th day of p3 at 1.6 lb. over last dose weight! Geez, another .4 lb. gain and I should be doing a steak day. In reality I've never done a proper steak day, usually just high protein days.

Trying to figure out why the gain. It could be one of three things:

    1) It could've been all those almonds from the day before yesterday. They were roasted in sea salt, very salty, and had way too many. Way too many, and way too soon. So yesterday ...
  9. R3p3,Day 3 Food Journal Update

I am running so behind with what I need to get done today, this will be pretty brief. I do want to journal what happened with weight yesterday (after day 2 on p3) and what I'm eating today.

This mornings weigh-in was up .6. But guess what, that's pretty good considering all I ate yesterday. Those bacon, tomatoe, mayo wraps were to die for, and extremely salty with 3 large slices of thick-sliced sf bacon on each. So yummy though. And I went a little crazy, was going to have a ...
  10. R3p3, Day 2--Thursday. Weight--Stable

Yoohoo! Weighed exactly the same this morning as yesterday a.m. And that's with weighing in about 45 minutes earlier than usual. Who knows, maybe would have gone down a few oz. if I had weighed a little later. It's getting lighter earlier in the morning, I'm going to be getting up earlier and earlier. That may impact my weigh-ins.

1st day of p3 when fine. I said I was going to journal what I ate, to keep for myself and others, so here goes day 1:

    Breakfast, ...
