R3p3, Day 2--Thursday. Weight--Stable

Rate this Entry
Yoohoo! Weighed exactly the same this morning as yesterday a.m. And that's with weighing in about 45 minutes earlier than usual. Who knows, maybe would have gone down a few oz. if I had weighed a little later. It's getting lighter earlier in the morning, I'm going to be getting up earlier and earlier. That may impact my weigh-ins.

1st day of p3 when fine. I said I was going to journal what I ate, to keep for myself and others, so here goes day 1:

Breakfast, 1 fried egg, 1 T of onion, sauteed in 1tsp. of coconut oil, and 2 slices of sf Bob Evans Sausage (it does have nitrates, but I'm too **** about all that, the one I use doesn't have sugar in the sausage, though), coffee with creamer.

Lunch: Burger with mayo (Dukes) and mustard, sweetened with Stevia, dipping sauce.

Afternoon snack: Blue Diamond Sea Salt Roasted Almonds (OMG, too, too good). A good handful of these.

Dinner: Baked chicken (entire breast) with baked cabbage. Rest of mayo/mustard sauce.

Snack: sf Gelatin Strawberry Gelatin Bites, these do have aspertame as the sweetener they are made with. Wish they didn't, but they are ready made, and I had tiny bowl, with Whole Foods sugar free whipped cream on top of them. Definitely felt like a dessert, looked pretty besides. 0 cal/0 carbs.

Didn't really have enough calories. Am going to try and up these today.

Plan for today:

Breakfast, had 3 slices of sausage. Coffee with sf creamer.

Mid Morning Snack, a new food--2% Fage Greek yogurt, (Tried to do what Feisty recommended, last night I prepared this, let it set in fridge overnight) added 1 tsp cocoa (unsweetened), and 5/6 packets of stevia (had to use that much to get sweet, not sour like yogurt), stirred really well, and left in fridge to set the taste. Then mid morning had this with a dollop or two of sf whipped cream as a snack. Lots of protein. Had the consistency of a mousse or cream cheese? And was good. I'll make this again. Hope to figure out how to get it sweeter.

For lunch today: plan on bacon, tomato, shredded lettuce with mayo and mustard sauce, wraps in Romaine lettuce leaves.

Dinner: ? Haven't decided yet.

Afternoon snack, either some strawberries or almonds.

Really need to get my calories up a little. I do not want to reset at 1200 cal. I want to reset at more like 1800 to 2000, if possible, and not gain. Let's see how this goes. P3 does allow for a lot more variety in eating. Gotta love that.

Phase 3 sounds challenging, and yet very exciting! I'm sure glad you are posting your meals. I cant' imagine resetting ourselves at 1800 to 2000 calories a day, though I understand the concept. It will be fun to watch you. I look forward to seeing your progress. I know you will do great!

    Hi Dubbles,

Sorry I haven't checked in for a few days but life is busy. I am really enjoying P3 and all these great foods. I did not enjoy it as much last time as I did not really know what I was doing that time. This time I feel much more in control. Yesterday I was the same weight as my ldw. Today I am up a little, not over 2 lbs but close but I got TOM last nite so I am not worried as I am just a bit bloated. It always goes away in a couple days. I have been eating quite a lot- probably closer to 2000 calories a day and feeling very good.

I went out to dinner last night with my friend from LA and had salad with oil and vinegar dressing, spinach with parmesan cheese and a filet mignon. It was totally delicious and no issues with protocol.

I have also been having a big protein shake for breakfast every day with 2 eggs, fruit, a little whipping cream, j robb protein shake. It is so delicious and very filling. Yesterday I also ate and apple with almond butter, some pork rinds, (which I did not really like, but wanted to try) and I also have been eating a container of Fage, but I don't buy the 2% one - I buy the one with full fat as it has less sugar in it than any of the others. I think only 6 grams of carbs on the one I get. I put sugar zero (erythytol) in it and stir it and eat it and to me it tastes like frozen yogurt. YUM!

I also have take a bit of full fat cream cheese- heat it up a little in the microwave and added that sugar to it. It tastes like frosting -which is my all time favorite treat.

I have not eaten much cheese yet at all, but as I said before I am not a big craver of cheese. I am doing really well with the eggs and yogurt so I am happy.

    Talk soon.

Hey Dubbs my first week on P3 I ate 1/2 rotisserie chicken with the skin and not a bump on the scale. Please tell me you are enjoying the crispy skin on your chicken breast... Best part.

BTW Fage Total "full fat" is much sweeter than 0% or 2% (I can't eat the 0 or 2% way to tart for me). The Fage Total you'll need only a few drops of vanilla stevia to sweeten. Fat free & low fat makes you fat . Total Fage is so good with everything, berries, baked potatoes, as a marinade and I make a creamy tazeki...an easy sauce of pureed seedless cuke & dill use as a dip/dressing. Fage is the best....love it in case you didn't notice. By P4 you can sweeten with honey or agave...double mmmm.

Keep up the good work and don't forget to eat fat!

Omg, thanks so much for this information. Both u and Joanie. I didn't know if it was just me, the Fage seems so tart, sour, even. Just bought 3 cartons, but go look for the full fat Fage. Thank you, thank you. Actually have been having p2 chicken baked, as I had several packets done for p3, just larger portions. Will buy rotessiere chicken with skin on soon.

Thanks for all your encouragement girls. Will keep you posted. As you can all see, p3 is a beautiful place to live, take it from all of us, right girls?

    Congrats on the stabilizing.
Thank you for the P3 menus, I've been compiling a file of successful ones from the forum. P2 eatting has gotten pretty simple so I am a bit anxious to change it up
I'm having a heck-of-a-time finding Dukes Mayo...any chance you can tell me where you picked yours up?
Cannot wait for P3, but love, love, loving P2!

happydj, I got my Dukes at Kroger, and we also have really good, year-round specialty fruit/produce store, called Paul's that carries it as well. If you don't have a Kroger around, you should talk to the manager of your local big chain grocer, ask them to look into purchasing it. Once it's in the markets it will be sold, it has no added sugar, and I luv it. My husband, a huge Kraft mayo person all his life, now prefers Dukes. Yummy.

Ok I've got to try this fage...but I don't know how it's pronounced so I'm too embarassed to ask at our local health food store...the ladies there are really snooty!
