R3p3,Day 3 Food Journal Update

Rate this Entry
I am running so behind with what I need to get done today, this will be pretty brief. I do want to journal what happened with weight yesterday (after day 2 on p3) and what I'm eating today.

This mornings weigh-in was up .6. But guess what, that's pretty good considering all I ate yesterday. Those bacon, tomatoe, mayo wraps were to die for, and extremely salty with 3 large slices of thick-sliced sf bacon on each. So yummy though. And I went a little crazy, was going to have a few bites of Black Diamond Roasted with Sea Salt Almonds, but ended up eating probably more than half the can. Equivalent to 4 portions, I guess, I couldn't stop myself. Bad me. That was 680 calories! Geez! Heh, no problem now, though, I finished those suckers. They are gone, baby! All in all, I had at least 2000 cal. No gradually increasing calories for me, No, not me. Only up .6. Really tried to have absolutely no sugar or starch, and dinner was a p2 meal, obviously.

Today: Have done a little better. Had my small bit of sausage, and coffee with creamer for breakfast.

For lunch today had my chicken and cabbage (baked in foil packet), with mustard and mayo dipping sauce. For mid afternoon snack, I had a container of the full fat Fage yogurt with cocoa and xylitol sweetener. So good. I put a dollop of sugar free whipped cream on it, and it's like having chocolate mousse. Yummy.

Dinner tonite (if I get off the computer and run to the store, like I need to) I plan on having a good sized burger, between romaine lettuce leaves, onion, mayo, mustard sandwich. Some parmesan coated zucchini oven fries, and roasted asparagus.

Haven't figured all the calories for this yet, but I'm sure they are in a good range. So after dinner, I may have some strawberries with whipped cream. Or if the calories are really not bad, a little more yogurt.

I luv p3. This p3 I'm determined to add different things in, not just have lots of protein. I want to experiment with foods I can enjoy for life. Will let you know how the weigh in goes in the a.m. Fingers crossed for all of us.

Did you come up with that Fage yogurt combo or find it somewhere? Did you just add simple cocoa powder?

Wow, that sounds yummy! I will definately be following you Dubbles since my last injection is on March 11th, then on to P3. My doctor wants me to rest for two weeks and come back to P2....I don't think so, it is so mentally challenging. I just want to eat right and do diet and exercise. What are your thoughts on that.

Congratulations again to your step to P3!

Looks like a great plan to me! Making my mouth water reading your food but it doesn't take much today since I skipped my hcg this morning after having six shots. Enjoy for me too! I hope you blog your experiments and I can try them when I get there this round.

Feisty gave me the recipe, such as it is--just the Fage yogurt (full fat, isn't nearly as sour as the 2%), I put about 1 tsp of Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder, and xylitol to taste. I used quite a bit. I mix it, let it set up in the fridge, to sort of blend flavors, and stir real well, sort of whip, and it's like either chocolate mousse, or soft serve ice-cream. My last batch I put a few drops of Vanilla cream stevia in for flavor. Its tooo, toooo good!

Ya know, I would go with the protocol set out by Dr. S. in "Pounds and Inches". He recommends 6 weeks inbetween rounds, at the very least. And I think he is the authority. I'd go with him, honestly. Stablilizing for a few more weeks before going back to p2 could not be bad for u. Don't you agree? Let us know what u decide to do.

I'm with you on the serving size of nuts, geez, can't have just a few it seems. Good thing they really are healthy. I think pistacios are even more healthy, or just as healthy as almonds!

That is EXACTLY what I wrote down this morning for my tomorrow blog (I try to get my thoughts down when I have time). It came to me last night that I don't want to add oils/fats for their sake but only if I plan on eating them after the weight is down.

I haven't made it to nuts yet but after my gain I'm going to back off and add more veg. I'll get to the fancy bits later.

And thank you SO MUCH for posting what you are eating because it gives me new ideas. The yogurt with xylitol and cocoa sounds especially appetising (and legal). I don't have xylitol yet (and I can't take Stevia) so I've saved this recipe for next week (iHerb only takes about a week to get to me).
