If your having really bad cravings and are hypo- chances are you prolly have candida overgrowth too. My cravings for carbs/sugar were so bad until i dealt with candida. theres lots of info on the web, after your done the diet, do a candida cleanse. You can almost start now since (other than the apples) the hcg diet is close to a candida cleanse.

You can start to take some stuff to kill candida too while your on hcg. I take ARTEMISININ (from allergy research group) and grapefruit seed extract (in tablet form) and pau'd arco (in a tincture form) and when im not on Hcg I take oregano oil capsuls and this stuff called PARA-FREE from a company called YOUNG LIVING. these are all great supplements to help rid the body of candida... then you have to supplement with strong pro-biotics (I think NATREN is best) and make sure you have good elimination (daily at least) while your cleansing cause the die off can be toxic if it sits in your gut.

I recommend going sugar free for everyone for life, and that means stevia or raw honey, NOT ASPARTAME/SUCRALOSE etc.[/QUOTE]

I have this problem which is the reason why I gained so much weight over the past few months only. What do you think about sugar alcohols such as that found in Truvia?

Hey sorry it took me a few days to notice the post! I think sugar alcohols are OK in moderation, but the best is pure stevia. I find that if i have a really good tasting stevia, I don't need the Xylitol, etc. THis is my favorite brand I've tried so far:

Also, sugar alcohols can make you bloated and can give gas/diarrhea and all kinds of indigestion. So if your stomach feels weird, I would stick to stevia.

If you want I can send you a personal message that I've typed out on the best ways to do a candida cleanse (my sister, friends and i have about 5 years experience doing candida cleanses) and we've consolidated everything we know from naturopaths, Ayurvedic doctors, and other health practitioners...

Let me know and i can send it off to you!

    ALL THE BEST!

I remember posting about candida to someone who was having cravings for sugar and bread. Nice to know there are others out there that are informed I do a candida cleanse while on the hcg with a cleanse from now foods and jarrow formulas. I also take astaxanthin and an enteceric coated probiotic to help.
