It's honestly probably water weight from the salt. Start drinking about 70-80oz of water since your in the 135-140lbs group and it should fall off tomorrow. when I started my first round at 152 once I got to the high 130s the weight was barely comin off, for a week I only lost .4-6lbs.

I take the drops so I can't tell ya about dosages but keep up the good work, your loss is great so far for how low your weight is already

    Hey - me again.

    I'm seeing 4 issues:

    #1. Constipation.

It can be very serious. 9 days is WAAAAY tooo long to go without a BM. Take a couple cups of smooth move tea right away and give it 12 hours. If you haven't moved by then - add a laxitive (pill form) or even a fleet enema. Though if you have an upper colon impaction - the fleet enema will do very little to help.

You may have as much as 5 lbs of feces inside. While not the best thing for the scale - it can lead to harmful consequences physically. Even extremely harmful (such as bowel punctures or ruptures). If you don't get "movement" - you will need medical attention pretty soon to clear out your colon (by day 15 without a BM).

Constipation is a real problem with HCG - because of the low fibre in the diet. Once you've finished your vlcd - move right away (in P3) to a probiotic and sugar free benefibre to stay regular. DRINK AS MUCH WATER AS YOU CAN - UP TO 15 CUPS A DAY RIGHT NOW - UNTIL THIS CLEARS.

#2. You're weight loss is slowing and jumping around quite a bit. This could be because you're coming too close to your body's "natural goal weight" (not the weight you're personally aiming for - but the fat to muscle ratio your body has to work with). The less fat on your body - the slower HCG will work. You may have to carve the last few pounds off another way.

#3. Why did you increase protein? I know someone on the forum directed you to do so - but it's not on protocol. Especially not an additional 50 grams. Nothing you can do about it in retrospect - but it would be useful to go back to the 100grams 2x a day and keep your fruit and veg (your body really needs all that stuff).

#4. ....the constant jumping around in dose. I don't know if technically that would have an effect on weight loss - but here is something I DO know....
When HCG is used as a fertility hormone, you are directed to take the exact same amount at the exact same time every day (within a 30 minute window).

Adjusting dosage for the diet is usually done in the first week if there is an issue with either hunger (indicating too high a dose) - or fatigue (indicating too low a dose) (this for injections of course, not sure about drops).

After a couple weeks - your body will anyway self regulate to the dose you are taking. You shouldn't be jumping around with that. At all. HCG is a prescription hormone and playing with the amount going into your system on a daily basis is bound to cause any number of little or large issues that can't be explained or corrected.

It will also play with your emotions. Most hormones do. Stress tends to trigger further issues - so if you're having HCG emotions and getting stressed and trying to lose weight and playing with the dosage - you'll still lose weight - but you'll be a mess every day.

MEANWHILE - you are down 13lbs in 21 days. That's reasonable for HCG. Chances are though - you're really down quite a bit more, and won't see that until you get your bowels moving again.

....also - once you get your bowels moving - it will take a couple days to really see the full results as you'll have some colonic swelling and inflamation.

Scalephobia, that was a wealth of information!! Thank you very very much for your generosity of spirit. For some reason today hunger subsided and I had almost no issue with it. I stuck to 150 IU for 7 days now. I don't know what tomorrow will bring what that was the case for today. However, I felt so incredibly tired..No energy to do anything whatsoever.
I forced myself to drink an enormous amount of water, could not go out to get anything to help things moving. BUT finally by the grace of God, I had some movement today. Just by drinking water. I am so happy.
Thank you again for reminding me that that will not show up on the scale for a couple of days because of colonic swelling and inflammation. I remember that happened on my previous round.
The only thing I wonder is I have been having excessive hunger AND weakness at the same time, all day (not everyday the same though) I don't know what that means in terms of dosage.

TY, Deseret. With just water today I broke the spell. Not completely, all the way but a great relief from what it was before. Thanks so much!!

My guess on the dosage is that the constant change has caused an instability - which is likely why you're having both fatigue and hunger at the same time. If you keep your dosage 100% consistent for the remainder of this round - some of that will subside.

HCG is a pregnancy hormone - so it's reaction and interaction with each person is slightly different. It does cause emotional ups and downs - just like when we're pregnant. Being aware of that lets you just relax into it. Take each day as separate and enjoy it.

HCG will burn fat off your body better and more efficiently than anything. You can't make it go faster. All you can do is support the process by staying 100% on protocol and taking care of any health issues that come up (like constipation or dehydration). There is no way to speed up your fat burning metabolism any more than it's already speeding forward.

I take it you're doing a 40 day round? If so - you're golden. You'll likely reach a 26 to 27 lb loss by the end - maybe even 30. If you hit plateaus - there's nothing you can do about them. Just wait it out. Read a good book. Watch a crazy movie. Visit some friends. Go for a walk. Take your mind off the scale.

Hope you have a great day tomorrow.

Scalephobia, your words are like music to my soul. Yes, I planned on going for as long as it took (which is max 40 injections, in the worst case scenario) until I reach my 125 lb goal. Just between us I will be ecstatic even if I can only reach 128. It is too good of a dream right now..<sigh!>

Just a quick update before I put out a whole new blog entry about the day: I weighed 138.4 today, recovered from some of the weight gain of yesterday but not entirely. There is still big belly 92.5 cm, waist is still lingering around 75.5 cm, hips though got a little thinner at 95 cm. Here are my numbers:

My biggest suggestion would be to get some poop out! I know it's direct but do it!! There's probiotics and teas out there that can help -- my preferred version is Smooth Move Chocolate tea. It doesn't take much, don't drink a whole cup. A few swallows, maybe 1/2 a mug, and you'll be fine within 12 hours.
  8. Exhottienowaveragejane's Avatar
Maggiep, that is taken care of, hon. Big ordeal but by drinking a ton of water, resolved it.
The problem now I am really truly ravenously hungry!! That never went away. I am about to give myself my injection and will go down to 125 today. Should get some relief in 2-3 days according to the forum advice. Hunger is no fun

Now that I am reading more, the advice is conflicting about the dose. This is beyond frustrating. Even the same person advises opposite things for the same situation throughout the forum. I will then go with the manufacturer's advice and increase the dose to 175. I have been on 150 for 7 days now. Enough is enough. I am increasing it to 175. Gawd!! So confusing..Now I will not be able to stabilize and maintain the weight that I lost afterwards, isn't it that case? That makes me so angry, frustrated and feel awful about the whole thing!

Jane - while you are mulling this - please do take a bit of advice and don't change your dose.

Dose adjustments in the first week are fine. With nearly every medicine - that's okay. Even courses of antibiotics.

Hormones should not be played with - no matter what someone on the forum tells you and no matter what the manufacturer tells you. The manufacturers are not doctors. They're giving you the absolute maximum dose advice and suggesting you follow it. It's ridiculous. Unless they have a copy of blood work on you and your medical history and a run through of your previous reactions on HCG - they have no place advising you to increase dosage to a maximum regardless of issues that have come up.

There are people on this forum with a wealth of experience with HCG - and those with just a bit. There are people with medical backgrounds and those with none. So of course, you will get conflicting advice.

HCG naturally occurs in pregnant women and our bodies adjust to it. The only purpose for adjusting dose on this program is to assist with hunger or fatigue issues. As you've already gone through so many dose changes - so close together - in such a short time - you're really playing with your own body in a bad way.

I know this might sound direct - but it's like asking someone who's had too much to drink - to assess how much they can drink. You can't until you're sober.

Right now, you are under the influence of a prescription level hormone and not in medical care. Your emotions are affected and you're playing with the dose every couple days. It's not going to help.

If you stick with the 150 that you've been doing (mostly) and keep it even - right at that amount - your body has a much better chance of adjusting to the current dose, than it would if you skip all over the place.

It's not the advice you would be given at the beginning (when dose adjustments are common and usually have no affect on the treatment) - but it's the best advice you should consider right now.

If you are still hungry after 6 to 7 days on the same consistent dose (taken at the same time each day) - then skip a day. If you feel better - lower the dose to 130 or 140. If you feel fatigued - take it up a bit. Just a bit. If you're confused and not sure whether you are hungry or fatigued - then do nothing. Hold fast - follow protocol.

Dr Simeons dosed every one of his patients at 150 - and all subsequent medical HCG programs begin there (some refuse to adjust dose). So 150 should be considered a medically approved dosage.

Hi scalephobia!TY again! I saw your post after I injected 175 IU. No, I don't apply any advice just because it happened to show on the forum, trust me. I only did try to adjust according to a very senior member's guidance on the forum. I have been crazy hungry all day and did not inject until after 5 pm to try and see what happened like a skip day. If I were to skip I would have been unbearably hungry as I was during the early part of the day until 5, that's for sure by evidence. And that means the dose is not too high but just the opposite (again, according that the same senior member's advice). So I increased.
I appreciate everything you say but what is the source of the info, please, if I may ask? I am hearing such conflicting ideas from the ones I hold in high esteem, like you and the other member of the forum and the manufacturer's nurse who sounds very knowledgeable, I really do not know what to do anymore.
I can even take the torturous hunger but what really bothers me is if that means that I will not be able to stabilize (like the last time) and gain everything back with a vengeance. I can't really watch that to happen. Why am I so hungry? Doesn't hcg suppose to help you? What is going on? OK, last round when the same exact reaction happened with hhcg drops, people were saying maybe the drops were expired, not good, did not contain hcg, etc etc...but now that I switched to needles and real hcg..what is going on?
I can take hunger suppressants and did take them (both Garcinia Cambogia and Green Coffee Beans supplements but they do nothing for me, I still want to eat my fingers) Relief is only for a very short amount of time right after I eat but that is so short lived. And today, I was still very hungry after the meal eventhough I ate my apple with the meal which I usually do not and divide my food throughout the day.

Jane - I do understand where you are coming from -

You are taking advice from a senior member that was intended for someone else. (I haven't seen a question from you on the forums lately - so I'm guessing that's what's happened).

When you tweak a dosage - it can have a better effect.

But you're not tweeking. You've changed your dosage 9 times in the past 20 days.

When you continually play with dosage - the whole thing backfires. Anything could happen. There is no way of controlling or even knowing how the hormone is affecting you because your body doesn't have a consistent supply. Nothing can be ruled out. Nothing can be explained.

There is also no way of knowing how or why you are experiencing hunger - it could be from the constant variations on the dosage levels or too high a dosage or an interaction with something else. You can't know that until you have a consistent dose going in you every day without changing.

Imagine for a moment that this is birth control pills. One day you take one, the next day 1/2, the next 2 days you take 3, then you cut back down to 1 - then up to 2, then over to 3 - then back down to 1/2.... It would become impossible to know what's going on - and you could end up with a hormonal imbalance.

Hunger on HCG protocol is indicative of too high a dosage. But if you were to stay at that dosage anyway - the hunger would subside in about 7 or 8 days. It can also be caused by ineffective HCG (quite common with hhcg). But at this point - you're in a bind and having major reactions to the hormonal changes and continually switching your dose around out of frustration. This is backfiring on you.

I'm not a doctor - or medical professional. I come from a medical family though and spent all my college years rooming with brain surgeons, research doctors and hospital staff. Some of it rubs off (I think). I do know about hormones and that they can have very extreme effects on your mind and body when you play with them.

Right now you're biggest issue is dose changing. If you stop that - take your dose to 150 iu's a day - no compromise - no change of mind - no change at all - you will be able to better figure out what is happening and why and how to get through the next 20 days and stabilize effectively.

My advice - the best I can give - right from my heart and head:
    1. Tomorrow start with 150 iu's of HCG and don't change that - not a bit - not even a little. Inject every day at the same time (in the am).

    2. After 4 days, purchase a duo pregnancy kit. Pee in a cup, divide the pee into 2 cups. Put a test in one cup. Empty a syringe of HCG in the other cup. One cup should show mild or no pregnancy (without the syringe). The other should show a positive (with the added HCG). This shows that you are getting enough HCG for the protocol - but not enough for your body to trigger hunger associated with pregnancy.

    3. Eat your 2 meals earlier in the day (with the protein). Keep everything according to protocol. If you are still hungry at the end of the day (before 7 pm) - have 1/4 cup of egg whites cooked with salt and pepper. Don't eat after 7 pm - but do feel free to drink teas and coffee or anything hot. It helps. Go to bed early. Try some yoga in the daytime when you feel up to it (or just gentle stretches) - don't excercise in any major way (except walking).

    4. So this will mean you are babying yourself. Keep doing that for 7 days. Don't compromise.

DON'T WEIGH YOURSELF EVERY DAY. Get on the scale every 2 days. Whatever it says - just record. Think nothing of any changes.

Whatever weight you can lose within the next 20 days will come off regardless of your dose, your emotions or your relationship with the scale. So knowing your daily weight on P2 just isn't that important.

And stay in touch. If you do decide to go through with my suggestions above - let me know how it's going. I'll keep an eye out on the site.
