  1. Starting Round 2

    Round 1, P3 & P4 went well. I maintained within my last dose range, however I did bounced up and down quite a bit. So now it is time to start Round 2. Loading today and tomorrow (May 5-6) VLCD will start on May 7. Planning on doing at least 40 days with the goal of dropping 20 pounds, but more would be OK with me

    Today I will be loading with lots of fat and very little sugar and carbs. Of course, today I do not feel very hungry and feel sick at the thought of gorging myself

  2. P4 Update

    I have been in P4 for a full 2 weeks now and it is going well. I have managed to stay within my LDW range without correction days. Just 5 days ago I was at the top of my range (187) and now today I am back down to the low end of my range (183). When I indulge in to many sweet, carby type treats I gain quickly, but if I make health choices for a few days my weight comes back down. I CAN do it! I AM doing it!   3. End of P3

    It has been 3 week since my last dose of hHcg drops. My weight has been up and down almost daily. Week 1 = +1.2, Week 2 = -1.2, Week 3 = +1.2 lbs. UP - DOWN - UP .... I never know what to expect the scale to read in the morning I admit, I have not been a perfect saint on P3. I have eaten some sugars and starches, which the scale promptly reveals the next morning.

  4. Stubborn or Stupid? (P3 day 16)

    Why, oh why, do I eat the way I do?
    I have gained 4 pounds in 3 days! YIKES!!! I have not been binging or eating tons of food. I have been tasting this treat or having a potato for dinner. Grazing through my day, a cookie here and a square of dark chocolate there and a bowl of ice cream before bed. I am not following P3 protocol. I am being lazy and allowing my desires to dictate my diet. I need to stop being so foolish and get it through my thick skull that I CAN NOT eat this way! ...

  5. Back on Track (P3d13)

    After going a little crazy for a few days and gaining a few pounds , I did two correction days and went back to P3 protocol eating. VIOLA! The last four days I have experienced great losses, even better than my first week of P2! I am happily back at my low P2 ending weight!

    Today, I was searching through my closet for smaller sized clothes. I realized that I could easily fit into skirts that did not fit last time I was at this weight, which was about a year and a half ago.

  6. UPDATE - Phase 3 Day 10

    It has been an interesting ten days! After being super careful during P2, I started P3 strong, but quickly spiraled out of control

    Days 1-5 went well. I had a small gain the first week, which is common when starting P3. I had a plan to introduce new foods every three days. I don't exactly know what happened, but somewhere along the way, I started to forget about protocol.
    Things really turned bad on Day 6. I baked cookies and of course had to try one... or five!

  7. Phase 3 Day 1

    Yesterday was day 1 of phase 3. I had two scrambled eggs for breakfast with mushrooms and spinach sauteed in BUTTER! It tasted so good to eat fat again. I mostly stayed with P2 foods in larger portions for the rest of the day, but I cooked them with butter or olive oil. I added 1 tsp. of coconut oil to my protein shake.... yummy! I really was not hungry yesterday, but made myself eat throughout the day. I read that if you continue with low calories after the HCG is done, your body will go into "starvation ...

  8. It is Time for Transition (VLCD46)

    I just decided this morning... I am done! Today I am not taking my hHcg drops. I will have two days of VLCD and then take the plunge into P3! I am getting crabby, tired, and hungry. Most likely because I am expecting TOM this weekend. It just feels like a good time to end this first round. I am going to try stabilizing around 185 pounds. I have lost 26 pounds and I am very happy with the progress my body is making. I lost 5 inches from my waist and 3 inches from my hips.

  9. Gain (vlcd45)

    Today I had my first big gain... one whole pound. I have been on this diet 45 days and not once have I gained back this much. I have had a few small bounces +0.2 or +0.4, and I have stalled for a while, but never this kind of gain. WHY?
    Here are some possible causes:
    1) I ate steamed zucchini with tomatoes and beef. Zucchini is not on protocol, but I had it once before without trouble. Beef with tomato causes problems for some people.
    2) I ate lettuce and tomatoes

  10. Extended Round (VLCD 41,42,43,44)

    Well, as I mentioned previously, I am extending my round since I still have hHcg drops left in my bottle. I tell you this bottle seems never-ending! I imagine it will only last a few more days. So I am plugging away in P2, I am down two clothing sizes, feeling fine, not hating my food selection, and whittling away the pounds and inches. Last night I received my FIRST weight related compliment from someone other than my husband. WOW- I had to lose 25 pounds before someone noticed... incredible! ...
