What to do on a snow day*warning food talk*

Rate this Entry
Well it's snowing out..... More snow than I've EVER seen in Arkansas and I've been living here off and on since 95. Still coming down in buckets. So....... What am I doing?
I have the prettiest pot of chicken soup going. Took My bag of chicken loins and put the ones that looked either too big or too small for P2 and threw them in the pot with nice big pieces of celery, onion, and red radishes...I'll shave a little carrot in there when I'ts almost done to get a little orange color and either some zuchinni or cucumber noodes oooooo it smells soooooo dang good.
Aside from that there's a big ole roast in the oven with some carrots and potatoes for the guys...... and DBF says he wants chile. LOL so Lots and Lots of stuff on the stove.... House smells soooo yummy tho. Think I'm sticking to my chicken soup tho. Really have a hankering for that. Haven't had any since departing P2 and I miss it.
I am thankful from the soles of my feet to the top of my head for finding this site and being 'shown' it is a journey and it is possible to not only live with healthy choices but to come to enjoy them. I am officially P4 today but I'm sticking with P3 for now. But......... Tomorrow will almost certainly be hummus! That's probably my only addition for a while. Taking it slow.

Way to go, Feisty. Good to hear from u. Nothing cozier than the smells of homemade cooking on a cold winter's day. With food to eat, a warm, dry place to sleep, there a lot to be grateful for. Right? So, just wondering, have u had much difficulty keeping at ldw since being on p3?

We love out P2 Chicken Noodle makes me feel all cozy. Enjoy! There's nothing I love more than spending the day with good music on cooking for the ones I love.

Yes and no Dubbs. I went at the highest .6 over (During the mental madness week), I am currently 5.4 under. But if you remember my first 2 weeks were just a mess. Seriously though I have no craving for starch or sweets at all and since that is the criteria for P3 it's been really easy in that regard. I find myself cutting back on the fats now and trying to add in a little more fruit and veggies. I was adding a lot more fats in the beginning but I also feel like that's what my body wanted.
So the yes and no part also stems from being a bit torn about it. I wanted a good stabilization staying within the 2 up and 2 down range. But on the other hand. Its nice to see the downtick still.. LOL oh the little mental mind games. so I've decided to just be ambivalent about the whole thing. It is what it is... as long as it's not up I'm good.
On my first round I wound up 7lbs below LDW.

Wow, u had a successful p3, then. I craved the fats and protein after my last round. And, like u didn't really want the sugars and starches. Not until I started eating them around Christmas. Once u eat them, I think they start a downward spiral. At least for me they do. Will probably going to p3 before u go to next round, but not for long... when will u be on p2 again?
