I'm over halfway there. This diet is really starting to get to me. I'm sick of the food, and I really want some new flavors. Not to mention the weight loss has really slowed. I'm down only 3.5 for the week. Three more weeks to go. I'm hoping to get to 35 lbs. by the end.

I had a friend in town for the weekend, and we usually eat out a lot, but this time I couldn't participate. It was really tough. I took her to a Thai restaurant and watched her eat while I had Jasmine tea and an apple. Not the easiest thing in the world to do. When she wanted to go to Bahama Breeze, I bowed out, not sure that I would be able to resist the Habanero Wings.

So here's my big confession. I cheated. I was hoping to get through the 40 days with no cheats, but I didn't make it. I was craving walnuts like crazy a few days ago, and I had some. Let me tell you, they were the best walnuts I ever tasted, and I so needed them.

Did it affect my weight loss? Maybe. I didn't gain, but I didn't lose.
