R2 p2 vlcd1

Yesterday was the start of my second journey. After loading on July 3rd and 4th, which had me grasping at my stomach because I felt so sick, yesterday wasn't so bad. I had a little bit of hunger, but the hunger you'd expect at meal times. Nothing painful, just there, my body telling me it was time to eat.

I had diced chicken cooked in a little bit of water with garlic, onion, oregano, and crushed red peppers on a bed of romaine lettuce, and with an ACV/mustard mixture on top for lunch. For dinner I had 100 grams of a grass-fed filet mignon flavored in Emeril's steak rub. Oh man, it was good. And yes, I looked at the ingredients for the rub. There were only two I didn't like, but are okay on P2. That's salt and "spices". I've learned that "spices" generally, usually means MSG. Ick. These two ingredients may be the reason I didn't lose as well as I did on R1 VLCD1. I won't use that rub for the rest of the week and see how it goes.

Oh, and my TOM came yesterday, which is very early. I wasn't expecting to see it until later next week. So I may be experiencing a bit of bloating from that.

This morning, my fingers are still swollen from water retention (Emeril?!), so I'm eager to get rid of that still.

Today is VLCD2 and I know this week is the hardest, so I'm hoping to have another great day like I did yesterday.
