I'm still going to try to monitor how much I read so I don't get discouraged but I'm happy to report I've lost 5 lbs WITH NO GAIN since Sunday!
After a consultation with Dr. Google that lasted hours and hours I determined I needed to deviate from Dr. S's protocol. I've added 50-100 grams of extra protein. Since I trained bootcamp style for so many years it is likely I have tons more muscle than Dr. S's original patients or others that do hCG. Because of my muscle mass I *need* more protein -- 200 g is simply not enough. The lack of protein was making my body freak, refuse to lose, and get this: not enough protein makes you retain water causing what looked like weight gain. That might be the reason for the big increase after the apple day!
Further, I was staying away from beef because it's not my fave and because I had read so many accounts of it causing gains and stalls. But clean, lean, organic beef is better for some as a protein source. So where beef (and citrus) have caused others to stall, I've lost!
Anyway, so as it turns out by following the protocol so perfectly I was probably doing myself in. I am OVERJOYED to have answers![/QUOTE]
