VLCD-3 emotionally very down, on the scale not so much

Rate this Entry
Well I weighed in hoping to see a big loss on the scale on vlcd-2, (yesterday) it wasn't there, (-1) but I decided not to get down about it, my scale isn't digital and perhaps the scale had needle issues and the big loss would be coming on vlcd-3.

Weigh in today, (vlcd-3) was so dissapointing. (-1)
I don't like my emotions being tied into the numbers on the scale, but they are.
For most people I see the biggest losses in the beginning and then it slows down, that is how it has been in the past, so looking at my first 2 days I am not feeling great.
Ug. So trudge on.
I will stick with it and keep on.
I can be grateful that yesterday I felt pretty good all day and never barely hungry. I guess I should be grateful I lost 2lbs in 2 days. It still is a loss!
Hunger wise day one and two were great.
Today much worse. I have had so much tea and water trying to combat the hunger.
I am not sleeping well either. I think the hcg is affecting my sleep.
I am going to try and stay positive and be happy that I had a loss, and I am doing well overall with hunger and food intake.

I am very happy for your loss!!! Keep that positive attitude. We all know this is hard, but you can do this. Your 2 pounds lighter!!! YAY I hope the hunger stops, but even I noticed with my first round that I didn't get hungry until my 4 or 5 day which I thought funny, but you can get through it.

If you have hunger, have your dose checked.
If you've read pounds and inches, it states that the body won't require as much sleep while taking Hcg.
As far as your meals-.are you sticking with protocol foods?
    What time are your meals?
And are you eating your approved foods together at mealtime?

For me, if I separated the foods-example-if I had the melba toast for breakfast, and an apple for a snack, I would feel hungry. But if I ate the 4 components at one meal, my hunger was non existant.

get yourself a digital scale if you can.. one that can read in .2 and .5 increments...if I had to squint at my old one with the needle I would of probably smashed it long ago in frustration..

first few days on vlcd I am hungry.. but I don't think I really am.. just my mind playing tricks..add .10 or .15g protein to a meal if your really hungry.

I am wanting to avoid buying a digital scale. I bought one the first time, (now broken) and I was so obsessed with it. I thought having an old fashion one would be better for not focusing so much on every point. Yet....now I don't really know if there is a loss or not when I can't see those points.....so I may end up breaking down and doing it.
Also what I loved most about the digital was it gave my fat loss percentage, and I loved seeing that!

The hunger issue for me is a consistant one. Every round I have been hungry. Every round I got help from senior members about my dose, and adjusted, and I just never seemed to hit my sweet spot, as they call it. I keep revisting the dosage instructions and the injections I am taking to see if I am missing something.
This round I mixed different. I followed mixing insturctions for a very small amount of bac water. 2.5ml vs 5 or 10 that I did before and pulling 10 units on my insulin syringe.
My first 2 days of vlcd were the best I have ever had, then the hunger creeped in. I skipped my hcg dose yesterday, bcs the hunger was just increasing, I am not sure how much it helped. I am hungry today....not starving but hungry. I think yesterday I may have been a bit less hungry. Now with such a small amount to inject it is harder to play around with the dose.

My first Round ever I stuck to protocol. I weighed food, didn't mix veggies, ate at the suggested times. I was hungry all the time, so i started splitting up my protien and having protien at breakfast. (Still was hungry) Now I try differnet things with my meals....sometimes breakfast, sometimes not. I almost always combine meat and veg and eat the fruit seperate. I skip the melba entirely. I eat at different times as well. Nothing is consistant. I wonder if maybe I had consistent meal times I would do better. I also eyeball my portions.
I have changed protocol a bit. I found a site run by a clinic that specializes in hcg. They have an updated food list, and allow mixing of veggies, and slightly more calories allowed, and more veggies in general. Everything they say about the changes they made, makes sense and has been well demonstrated by me. I like being able to make tastier meals, and having more options, it gives me more freedom. My only cheats have been with the milk. I tend to put more than the 1tsp allowed in my coffee. Not everyday, somedays I have none. One round I tried dropping coffee all together, but as I was hungry all the time, I added it back in. It really does help with hunger. I avoid diet sodas and diet sweetners with the exception of stevia.

I am frusterated. It is interesting how you find when you put the 4 components together you are not hungry. I could try that. I always like to split them, so i have something left. It scares me not having something in case...
I would think hcg is all bogus if there were not thousands of people on this forum, plus my personal friends, telling me they are not hungry on hcg. When I did the other 3 rounds I always mixed with a friend, split the same mixture, and I was hungry and my friend not. I did it w/ 3 diff friends. So I think it is not the hcg (pregnyl) or how it is mixed. It is me
