    I'm still doing HCG, but this round has been more challenging than the last one. I started round 2 in mid July but then went on a 2 week vacation. Staying with family around the country made it just about impossible to stick with protocol, so I called it quits during the vacation.     FOOD

    Saturday: Lost about 3 pounds from yesterday. Waited so long into the day to eat that my blood sugar dropped and I felt grouchy and had brain fog. In my frustration I ate junk food to deal with the stress. I know I'll pay for it on the scale tomorrow.

    Sunday: One pound gained. Made the same mistake today as I did yesterday... waited too long into the day to eat and had blood sugar problems. Lesson: eat earlier when I need it ...

    R2/P2 VLCD2 Morning Weigh-in: 2.6 pound loss

    FOOD

    Breakfast – nothing

    Lunch – 150 grams chicken with mustard, homemade salsa, fage

    Dinner – 150 grams chicken stir fried with broccoli and cauliflower, topped with salsa

    Snacks – 3 sugar free Jolly Ranchers

    Fluids: 60 oz water, 40 oz Vitamin Water, 36 oz diet green tea, 12 oz sugar free Red Bull

  4. Salsa Salsa Salsa

    R2/P2 VLCD2 - 3 pound loss

    Wifey and I picked tomatoes and peppers from our garden today..... added in some onions and spices and made 3 gallons of salsa. Yum.

    To load my body for tomorrow's run (7 miles), I ate a bit heavier than normal... 750-800 calories - mostly protein, but also had a Greek salad. Drank about 80 ounces of water and 20 ounces of diet green tea.

    I need to start increasing my running distance to prep for my half-marathon in November. ...

  5. Vacation Break

    I just got home from a two and half week vacation with my family. I tried to maintain P2 during the trip, but it just wasn't working. We went on a road trip to visit family in Pittsburg, Ohio, Indiana and even Miami, FL. Everyone wanted to feed us and after a few days I decided it was best to just enjoy the trip, accept what I was given to eat and start this round over when I got home. I have no complaints. I ate some great food and had a tons of fun.

    Breakfast – a bowl of air with a side of nothing

    Lunch – salad w/ seasoned beef and salsa, one pickle – no fruit

    Dinner – grilled chicken breast with slice of tomato wrapped in lettuce leaf – no fruit

    Drinks: 48 oz water, 10 oz licorice root tea, 16 oz sugar free Rock Star.

    Breakfast - a piece of sugar free gum

    Lunch - 7 oz of grilled chicken with hot sauce, steamed green beans - no fruit

    Dinner - 7 oz grilled chicken, salad with balsamic and red wine vinegar, small apple

    Drinks: 130 oz water, 16 oz sugar free peach/mango drink.

    Total calories: 625


    I've got shin splints so I took it easy today.... 1.5 mile run with 2 five pound weights. ...

    R2/P2 off to a good start. Ate about 590 calories - chicken/fish. 2.4 pound loss.

    Ran 4.5 miles from my house to the YMCA to swim laps for about half an hour.... then relaxed in the hot tub!

  9. Loaded and Ready to Rock!

    R2P1 Day 2

    Last round I didn't really try to eat much on my loading days, so I made sure to gorge this time around. I guess I overdid it! I packed on more than I anticipated over 2 days and am now SEVEN pounds over my lowest R1P2 weight. I feel like barfing. Oh well. I'm not too worried. It will come off soon enough.

    Tomorrow I'll officially be on R2/P2 with all you July 4th Starters! Yahoo! It's so nice to have pals to share stories with during P2.

  10. Loading weekend coming up!

    R1/P3

    I'm looking forward to starting my next round with those of you who are starting up July 4th weekend.

    This next round might be a little up and down for me because I'll have to experiment a lot with my caloric intake. I get too much benefit and enjoyment from exercising to give it up while on HCG. Last round, I gradually increased my protein intake so that I was consuming around 650 - 700 calories. Since I started P3, though, I've had so much more energy that ...
