Update on HCG Results

It's been a while since I posted anything. I'm now in P4. So "yay me" I can have sugars and starches.

As it turns out I don't crave them. I've never really had food cravings, except for chocolate, cheese and hot sauce.

My appetite after HCG is almost non existent. I always feel full, even in the morning. Most of the time I feel like I'm force feeding myself, so I tend to have slightly fattier foods to make up for eating less (if i don't have at least 1500 calories I gain weight). Oh the irony.

After HCG I took a BodPod test, which measured my body composition and more importantly my Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR). I found out that at a minimum I have to eat 1700 calories for basic body functions.

Doctors use to tell me "don't eat more than 1500 calories", so this taught me that many doctors are idiots, and they were making me keep my body in starvation mode and gain weight. Ugh!

Anyway...I stabilized well. I haven't gained a single pound. I've had bread, potatoes, even a little Chicago-style pizza.

I have been trying to steer away from some of my compulsive behaviors (mostly binging and laxing) which were an issue before HCG. Seeing the stable numbers on the scale have really helped. My sleep cycle was "reset", which is great. I usually can't stay up past 11:30 pm.

No hair loss or skin issues. I've had some trouble with BMs, but I'm going to start taking probiotics for that...not sure why I'm having those, I think it might be that I'm not consuming enough fats or fiber.

We shall see! Can't wait for Round 2, I think I'm doing a short round to lose my last 20 lbs.
