NEWBIE here! :)

Hey there everyone! I'm super new to this whole process and would love as much insight as possible! I want to succeed! There are many abbreviations that I"m not certain about. Can someone please share these with me! Thanks!

I have so many questions but just don't know where to start. I will have to sit and make a list and add them to another post. Also, i apologize in advance for not capitalizing words, i can be a lazy typer at times, sorry!

SO.......on my two load days, i gorged like there was no tomorrow but only gained 1 lb. Now, i have a feeling that it's because I was pretty active this last weekend on my load days, went to a vikings game and walked downtown in busy traffice etc. However, today was my first official VCLD weigh in and i lost 4 lbs! i'm excited! I hope to see this continue and will be back for advice and support!

i do have quite the hunger pangs, i try to push thru them with tea/coffee/water, so far so good! any suggestions that are allowed? i also try to keep busy and not think about it! It's tough when my sig other can eat whatever he wants! i'll stay strong, i want this!

    Hi julybaby.... Since it appears that I am only one day behind you I'm sorry that I don't have any insightful wisdom to pass along BUT because it appears we are in the same boat I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK! I too loaded pretty well.. at least I thought. If it had a double digit fat gram, I ate it. But today is my first VLCD and I also have slight hunger pangs... it almost feels like my stomach is cramping a little... kinda like it is really PO'd at me right now! LOL Anyways... still with it and I'll keep watching you...as I'm right on your tail!!!

    Hey DIY girl! it's good to have someone else starting this around the same time as I am. We can learn from each other as we go and research out questions we both might be having at the time! sounds like a win-win for both of us!

    It's funny how my stomach is like, "oh wow, now you chose not to eat the good stuff" and before this, i wouldn't necessarily eat all day, but when i'd eat, I'd EAT! ha! I would eat chips and burgers, fries, chicken tenders that sorta thing. And we ate out A LOT! I have to do this now, I felt awful with how i was letting food control me, I was tired and lazy and depressed too probably. So, here i am, ready to fight this food demon and relearn what i need to learn (again) now!

    stay on my tail DIY girl, that will hopefully keep me moving right along! My plan is to be in phase 4 the day before Thanksgiving! what are your goals? You said you only have about 20lbs to lose, are you just sticking to the 3 week round?

    this is what i ate today so far:

    breakfast: coffee w/ stevia (cannot drink black coffee)
    morning snack: handful of strawberries and a melba toast ( i love the crunch of the toast)
    lunch: chicken with allowed spices wrapped in lettuce leaves (it was a good crunchy option since i don't know what to put on plain lettuce ha)

    need to have a snack soon, but am waiting for my tummy to signal hunger, well stronger type hunger that i can't ignore. ha.

    for those of us who are starting this diet together at the same time! a way for us to see how the others are doing and keep each other motivated.

    Hello ladies! First of all, drop the Melba/grissini. Its unnecessary carbs and starches that spike your insulin level and make you hungry. Second, you might need to adjust your doses if you are hungry. On the right dose not only am I not hungry sometimes I have to make myself eat. So, on your third day skip your hcg. If you find yourself still hungry you need more. If you find you are less hungry/not hungry you need less hcg. If you use drops, increase or decrease by one drop per dose. Sorry, you will have to ask Colleen/Grammy about rx hcg and/or injections. Also I blogged throughout both my p3 rounds so check them out if you need to... there's quite a few of them as I did 60 days round one p2 and 75 days round two p2.     AHHH, if only i could go back to the loading days again! it was tough when i had that freedom, but now i know it will be a process for me to stick to this plan. I have to do this though and so i'm going to try my hardest to do so! any support will be amazing!

    you can do this too! If we all stick together and give support and swap recipes, we will do very well! as for your group, is that a group i can somehow join? i'm new to this forum stuff so i may have missed that part!

    keep up the good work! i was thrilled with my loss today, and i can't wait to see what the scale says tomorrow!

    you don't have to 'join', it's more of a place for all of us to post in one spot but to subscribe to it, if you click on the link, then right above the first post theres a drop down menu that says 'Thread tools' if you click on that and then click 'subscribe to this thread' youll get notices when people post.

    Hi! I just started this too, so we I'm with you in the Noobie category! Tomorrow I start the VLCD and I'm hoping to have others to talk to about all the us and downs, and for accountability!

    my initial goal is just 20 -- 22 lbs. I managed to get a grip and stop the gain but i have struggled for 2 years to get what i gained OFF. I've tried EVERYTHING (at least everything my poor little knee could take) So i'm using this program to lose AND reset. My metabolism was just used to me playing some type of sport 5-6 days a week and now I walk and do some jogging... lol, definetly not the same!

    Yesterday I had:
    coffee with stevia ( i really thought i would miss my creamer but as long as the coffee is flavored then i actually like it with just the stevia!)
    Lunch: grilled chicken strips and steamed cabbage (down here in the south cooked cabbage is a normal thing so I like it... yeah!! )
    afternoon snack : a delicious Honeycrisp Apple... thank GOD it is honeycrisp season. They are my absolute favorites and they are only around for a little over a month ONCE A YEAR.. so it really WAS a treat!
    Dinner: same as lunch however i think i'm going to cook again tonight so i have different meals for lunch and dinner... keep switching it up to confuse the body
    nighttime snack: another honeycrisp and a cup of French Vanilla decaf.

    @ lawgirl thank you for the info... i've been reading and have learned a lot that they just don't teach you in the books.
