Blew it!

Rate this Entry
I'm up 1.2 lbs this morning. I did fine yesterday until in the evening, then before I went to bed I was so hungry for more meat that I ate a ground turkey pattie. I know turkey's not even on protocol. I only have a week left to lose, so I have to stay on the protocol!!!!! Telling myself I didn't spend my hard earned money to waste it!! Right?? Right!! i'm a bad evening comfort eater. Need to get over that because I'm doing LR when I'm done and you can't eat after supper. I'll be just over here in the corner thinking about what I've done...........:-(

I second that! You have do a lot in one week! Do you ever drink herbal tea at night? I know it helps for a lot of people to curb the comfort eating!

You really didn't blow it...You had a turkey patty, but in the grand scheme of things it was just a turkey patty, not like a spaghetti dinner or anything...Jump back on the wagon!!

    Dont look back!

If yo uhave a library nearby, you may wish to check out a book by Dr Mike Dow, called Diet Rehab,, also available on CD, which I listen to in the car.
He says that comfort eating is self medicating (DUH!) but further --- night eating is due to low dopamine and suggests other things we could do instead of eating to increase dopamine.

There is also another book called the Mood Cure by Julia Ross. they also have supplements that they suggest as well.

You may need more when you are going thru a stressful time.

Youre fine! You know what to do. Just keep doing it. One more week....
