  1. Back Again

    Here I am... back again. I had trouble during my last P3... but stabilized nicely in P4 thanks to fmd... but after a few weeks of structure on fmd, I quickly felt suffocated and needed to have more freedom in my eating choices... which of course led to some weight gain. I do well on a diet, just not well once I go off. So I'm up a bit-- quite a bit... around 8-10 lbs-- but that's ok... I had planned on doing 1-2 more rounds... so now it's definitely 2 more..   2. My bloodwork results

    Got my results back yesterday. Most of my thyroid and hormone levels were within normal range. However, after much researching- I have come to realize that they aren't in their optimal range. The numbers that are in the high range should be lower and the numbers in the low range should be higher-- all having side effects of exhaustion. At least, now I know why I am always tired.
    While I feel a sense of relief to find out that it isn't "in my head", I'm up against another type ...

  3. and the frustration begins!

    I've been on fast metabolism diet for almost 2 months with great stabilization. I joined a support group to help with menu ideas. I bought the book and cookbook... and the recipes I have found to be delicious. Since I have started, which was August-- the master food list has changed twice. I found this out through the support group. The author's team had confirmed the changes.

  4. After it's over

    After I completed another round of hcg- I lost over 20 lbs. The ONLY time that I ever knew what to do in P3- however, I had difficulty stabilizing. I don't know if it was due to food sensitivities, over eating, under eating, improper food combinations or hormonal issues.
    I subsequently started the fast metabolism diet to stabilize and even possibly lose some more weight. FMD allowed me to stabilize and even drop a few more pounds. the fmd allowed me to reintroduce grains into my diet ...

  5. FMD week 4

    I've completed 3 weeks of fmd. The plan has wonderful recipes and a variety of foods to eat daily. The menu is mixed up every couple of days. I have been successful in reintroducing grains and fats back into my regimen without gaining. I am happy for that. I have enjoyed every recipe that I have made- and believe me, I made at least 2 new recipes a day for over 3 weeks.
    I started off on the fmd weighing 144.4. I was almost 6 lbs above my LIW. I began fmd hoping to not gain anymore ...

  6. FMD week 3

    I'm in the tail end of week 3 on fmd. I have enjoyed every recipe that I have made- and there have been a lot. I usually make between 3-5 new recipes everyday. I'm glad that I chose to follow the recipes, as I learned about new combinations with condiments and spices. I'll be done in a little over a weeks time...   7. Steady as she goes

    Yesterday I started my week 3 on the fmd. It has certainly been enlightening. The fmd promotes organics, no nitrates, no nitrites, grass fed, free range products. I have been compliant with deli meats and eggs and most meats. Due to finances, I have chosen the foods which I thought were most important to adhere to the plan.

  8. Week 2

    I've completed 1 week on FMD--
    It was a lot of planning. I followed the meal maps and recipes that are in the book. I didn't go off plan or cheat. The first 2 days I was exhausted and felt just plain o' horrible. The 3rd day, was a turning point.. I started to feel more energy, but still not myself.. however, I started to have stiff legs.     Tomorrow will be a full week on the FMD. Yesterday, I had a slight gain of +.8. I am confident that I made a mistake in the recipe amounts and that is what caused the gain. Of course, when I weighed myself, I became full of anxiety of the thought that I was starting down that road of slight gains everyday again.     It's been 4 days since I started FMD. I'm down 3.2 lbs.. I am for the most part following the meal map in the book and using most of the recipes. There have been times, when I haven't used a meal recipe because I looked at the recipe within a 1/2 hour of the meal- and realized that the recipe called for a slow cooker for 4-6 hours or to be oven baked for 3-4 hours.
