Numbers are dropping....

Yesterday I tried for the first time a chocolate protein shake for breakfast along with my normal everday vitamins. I had so much energy my house was cleaned in no time, plus I'm battling a head cold. I'm down 1lbs this morning even after eating a little off course. I ended up having a portabella mushroom stuffed with roasted onions & peppers topped with chicken breast. It was really good and really filling. I dont know what the calorie count was but it couldnt have been much.

    I have to say, I miss mushrooms when on protocol more than any other veggie (legume ) I LOVE portabellas, and often wondered why they are not on this diet as a very lean sub for meat. I wonder if the vegetarians on here eat these and still lose? Anyways watch the scale tomorrow, I have read that if you cheat you may not see it until the 2nd day after the cheat, so if no movement tomorrow, or a low loss, youll know it was the mushroom yesterday. Anyways GOOD LUCK and Congrats on your 1lb down!

    Yeah! I'm glad everything is going well for you. I LOVE my morning protein shake... totally makes this diet easier for me. Hope that head cold leaves soon. Everyone in my house has been sick with sore throats, stuffy snotty noses, etc. My hubby is home from work today because he is sooo sick with fever and body aches. Me, I feel great... this illness hasn't touched me! I think since I have not been eating sugar, my immune system is boosted. NOT getting sick is definitely a bonus of healthy eating!

    I think mushrooms arn't on protocol because Dr. Simmeons has foods on there that take more calories to burn then you take in. Such as cabbage, or celery. Maybe mushrooms won't make your body work enought to digest. Anyways, this is what I read. Good luck. Stay strong. Day 12 vlcd for me!!
