Have you read Pounds & Inches? Loading apparently also reduces the risk of extreme hunger during that first week.

I would follow protocol and LOAD. Really go for it. I chose healthy loading such as nuts, avocado, peanut butter on my apple, Brussel sprouts sautéed in butter and olive oil, etc. Oh, my junk food splurge included a low carb $6 burger from Carl's Jr. And I did have an apple fritter. But I kept it on the healthier side.

My vote is to load and do it right. I hesitated the same as you, but in the end the fear of being ravenously hungry during the first week pushed me to the edge. Make sure you start your hcg dose then commence to eating.

    Best of luck.

If you want a good start, than follow P&I and most definitely load. Like Rabo said, eat lots of healthy fats and it'll make the first few days much more bearable. I've done 6 rounds and the worst were in the two I loaded with mostly sugar/starchy food. The load weight comes off very quickly. Your doctor probably means well, and I mean him no disrespect, but he's way off with this one. Please take everything he says and compare it to Dr. Simeon's original protocol which has been proven to work for over 50 years.

    is this doctor crazy??
the protocol clearly says to eat to capacity for those first 2 days.
maybe he/she is experimenting with their clients for a new plan-- either way- i would stick to the protocol!!
those 2 days of loading, allows you not to feel hunger, enable the body to utilize the correct fat to burn-- why would anyone change that?!?! i would seriously question that motive!!!
