I just wanted to check in to let y'all know I'm alive and well in P4! I have found my groove with diet & exercise and feel good about my plan for long-term maintenance. I went off the res a bit on Sunday night (too much adult beverage will do that) and that caused a gain, but I did the BP IF, lost 2 lbs overnight, and got back in the safe zone. What's life without a little fun right? I hope the rest of you are doing great! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maria ~ GOAL!!! ...
Seriously, I entered my weight this morning and was totally surprised to see I only have one more day of P3 left! The other surprise was that I only went over my 2 lb window twice. Once from eating avocado (didn’t agree with me) and the other from getting hit with a stomach bug on Sunday. Our bodies become inflamed when we’re trying to fight something off and that can show up as a gain on the scale. I’m starting to feel better and it showed yesterday with a 2+ lbs loss that put me back within ...

No sooner do I blog that I don't want to bore you with my P3 journey and guess who ends up 2.2 lbs over LIW yesterday? Yep, me. Thank goodness, I add new foods very slowly in P3, so I know it was the avocado that caused a 1.1 lb gain overnight. Not a fun way to start my Saturday and I'll admit I was a big baby about it (thanks to my friends here for your support ). Typical of me, I only stay down for so long before I come out fighting again. I chose to put my energy into what I could ...
Hello my Pretties! It's been awhile since I last blogged. It's not that I don't love y'all anymore, I just don't want to bore you with the same old story each day. Life is good, albeit predictable, but I have no complaints. My weight has been stable, with the exception of this week when TOM arrived and brought his usual couple of extra pounds with him. I'm just barely over LIW though, not even 1 lb, so I'm just trying to respect what my body needs to do. I know by the weekend things will be back ...
My appointment with my chiropractor yesterday went great and he fixed me right up! He's a holistic doctor so he does muscle testing and all types of alternative therapy. We learned/reconfirmed that pecans are NOT my friend. They were the cause of my back going out on Wednesday night. I also had him test me for a couple of other things and did fine with Brazil nuts, but I have to be careful with avocado (which we already knew), but I can eat them every few days. I wanted him to test me for walnuts ...

I never did get around to blogging yesterday. I've been a little busier than usual lately. P3 has been going really well and I'm still under LIW, but yesterday I added pecans and was up 2 lbs overnight. That's definitely a red flag, but I'm not ready to write them off yet. Remember the gain I had on Monday from hurting my back after my really long walk on Sunday? Well the pain came back with a vengeance last night after I did the glider at the gym. It was bad enough to take an Rx ibuprofen. I'm ...
I'm pretty sure yesterday's gain was caused by inflammation from overdoing it on my walk on Sunday. I love that I now have a "can do" attitude when it comes to exercise, but I need my body to catch up with my mind! Today I was down 1.3 to 127.2 lbs. That puts me at 2.7 under LIW. Here's my menu from yesterday. My new food add for day 3 was raw pumpkin seeds. B: 2 mugs BP coffee, Green juice, 2 slices bacon ...
Morning all, so it looks like I'm going through the normal weight fluctuations of P3. This is pretty typical. P4 is when we should expect things to settle. I was up 1.4 today to 128.5 lbs, which puts me 1.4 under my LIW. I've lost some of that wiggle room, but I did a longer than usual walk yesterday (4 hilly miles), which was awesome, but afterwards we did a trip to Costco, IKEA and Central Market. Yeah LOTS of walking. My lower back actually hurt by the end of the day, which never happens, so ...

I'm cruising along nicely in P3 so far. I was up .3 today which is a good thing. I started to worry that I'd continue to lose weight which is no bueno for stabilization. I may try to get a few more pounds off in P4, but I really want to keep things steady until then. Here's what yesterday's menu looked like. BREAKFAST: 2 big mugs BP coffee (1 Tbl butter & 1 Tbl CO in each cup), 2 egg veggie (spinach & mushroom) omelet cooked in bacon grease, green drink halved ...
I've got a to-do list to tackle this morning so I will keep this short. I woke up today to a 1.6 loss! To see the scale at 126.5 was a really nice surprise. Now, I know it's common to lose weight during the vlcd-no-hcg days, and that's happened to me in all my rounds and things usually stabilize the first week of P3, but I've never lost this much weight in those 72 hours. I'm starting P3 at 2.9 under my LIW. I love the wiggle room, but I also want to stabilize, not lose more. It's like whatever ...
