  1. SLOW loss week

    Disappointed in my overall losses this week (2.4 lb). Weekly totals have been 3+. Could be TOM coming up; I felt myself ovulate a few days ago. I have 8 lb to goal, seems like a little, but also alot. I am into my last bottle of drops and will quit when I reach goal or run out of drops, whichever comes first, probably 11-12 more days. Then 3 days VLCD no drops, then P-THREE!!!!!

    Do get to report an additional loss of two inches overall though -- 18.5 total so far.

  2. Yay! THREE days in a row!

    Well, this is unheard of for me, but I've had a loss three days in a row. This has not happened since starting this diet. Twice I've had losses two days in a row, so maybe you can see why this excites me. Okay, yesterday's loss was hardly worth recording, but like my sig says "I'll take it!". As of today, I have lost 10% of my body weight!! Goal seems so close, and yet so far away.

    I really want to start trying on my summer stuff because we've had a few nice days ...

  3. Out with the Old, In with...

    Just now I finished trying on all the pants / slacks in my closet and "jean drawer". On spring break (I work at a university), so I have a lot of time on my hands.

    I have purged nine pair of pants and three pair of jeans!! Among them, are the black dress slacks I bought in November because all of my other black ones were too tight, and I really needed a new pair. You know how you know the brands that are cut a bit bigger, so if you wear a 12 they're really a 14, but ...

  4. On the downhill side of the last two weeks, considering future victories...

    So I am finally on the downhill side of the last two weeks of VLCD. Yay! I can see the end in sight. So last night I was thinking about the victories won so far, and the ones still in the future. I posted before about current victories, like:

    my husband calling me 'skinny' every morning
    fitting into jeans that haven't fit in years
    shopping my closet
    back fat finally melting away (very excited about this)

    So got to thinking about more current ...

  5. Hate the weekends, too boring, too much husband...

    Well, here it is Saturday and I am bored. It's only 3:45, so not much to do. If I go out I'll be tempted to eat out. Staying home for two more weeks.

    DH and son met stepson and his wife for breakfast at Cracker Barrell, one of my favorite places. I made up an excuse not to go. Just could not sit there and watch everyone eat all that yummy food, while I sit with a cup of tea. So I had some quiet time alone which was nice.

  6. P2 Boredom, but scared of P3!

    Haven't aired my feelings in a few days, other than to reply to a few posts. P2 continues to go slowly for me - stuck at 13.6 loss two days in a row. I thought I'd have lost more by now, but am still at a steady .5 a day loss (which I know is normal and good). Forty days is a LOOONNGGG commitment. The food, even with the addition of eggs and cottage cheese, is boring. I tried stir frying (in water) some shrimp yesterday with a smitch of garlic, onion powder and cayenne pepper.   7. Take Pictures!!! You will be Surprised!

    Okay, I already posted this as a response to Dubbles, but I have to share this here too. I just compared the pics I took after week one.

    I did not take pictures from the start because, basically, I was too ashamed to REALLY see myself in photos. It's bad enough having to look at pictures from Christmas 2010, when I was fully clothed. (And don't you know my favorite hobby is, yep, you guessed it, scrapbooking. I do/did a lot of creative cropping of pictures of me.)

  8. Feeling Better Today!!

    Yesterday was horrible, but today is a new day! I feel back to my normal self AND had a loss too! I'm down 11.4 lbs since starting VCLD. What a delight - I am at the weight I was SIX YEARS ago.

    I have to be honest, I had set my goal to high (aiming for the stars), but have adjusted it on the weight ticker. I can see that I am not going to lose 30 lbs in 40 days; my body is just not losing it at that rate. So I need to be realistic. My original goal was 25 anyway. Besides, ...

  9. Apple day -- did I already mess this up??

    First some explanation:
    The nurse supervising my progress told me to increase my magnesium to make sure everything is moving through my system optimally. I had been taking one tablet (250 mg) a day and having regular bms. I did increase the dose seven days ago, and so each moring I 'go' but it's diarhhea rathen than 'normal'. Yesterday I had FOUR of the same bm's. What such a shock to me. But I felt fine. I thought maybe my body was detoxing. Last night I woke at 2:45 feeling REALLY ...

  10. Decided to Blog -- Need support!!!

    Hi everyone,
    I decided to blog because I really need support. I am so frustrated and ready to quit. My progress has been minimal (to me). I know I don't have as much to lose as others, so I try not to compare myself to their success, but it's still hard not to.
