  1. Steady wins the Race!

    Today is the end of week one of Round 5. I'm down 5 lbs. exactly. That's ok with me. I know that some lose faster, but I feel steady as it goes is the game this time. My body is happy. My mind is happy. It's a win, win situation this time. I will be successful in making it to 190's. Just want to let you all know that this is worth it and it does work. I don't care what the media may say. Don't listen. Well, here's to week 2!

  2. ROUND 5 Begins! and so pumped!



    Today is the end of the second load day. I am so pumped and ready to get going! Have gained 3 lbs loading the past day and 1/2. This morning I found my journal from the beginning of Round 1 and read through it. WOW! I am so glad I kept that experience on paper. It has already helped me realize how to do this again.   3. Beginning of VLCD10 Round 4

    Can;t believe the sort of week I've had. Being under the weather is not convenient. ha ha but it really helps you appreciate the good days.
    Gained 2 lbs this week. Lost them yesterday. Back to 206.6. Hoping to crack this 200 barrier. Would be happy to lose atleast another 11 lbs before this is over. Have 11 more days. Should be able to do it. Keep on truckin! that's what I always say.

  4. VLCD6 been in bed all day long...........

    crummy day. down in bed with a stitch in the side. Feels like it could be kidneys. Not sure. Stone? what? infection? no fever. If it's not gone in the morning then I'll call the doc. Have too much to do to feel like this. Tomorrow is our youngests 18th bday. Like I said...Big day!
    Things are going pretty good other than that. I have been surprised at the swiftness of the loss, but then, I'm still losing what I regained in P3 after Round 3. Hoping I can just get going again. ...

  5. One Half Pound does not equal 0.8 on my scale!

    Wow! I just realized that my scale does not measure in a typical 1/16 increments.
    When I add 0.8 and 0.8, according to my calculations and scale, I get 1.6 not 1.0
    This may not make a difference to any of you, but it does to me. 1/2 lb on my scale would be 0.5. This makes my losses of 0.8 more significant to me, although I consider even 0.2 a good loss. ha ha at least its not a gain! I also think we are all too hard on ourselves.   6. VLCD 3 begins

    Have not been hungry much at all this round. These drops are awesome! and I am very careful to drink my water and keep the mouth dry after the drops for 30 minutes. It may be making the difference. Who knows?

  7. Round 4 Day 1 Load

    I am so excited for today! Why is it that beginning another hcg journey is so exciting? ha ha I think the energy is flowing and WOW! My dh does not want me to become depressed like I seemed to last round, although I think there were other factors in there not just the hcg. This round will get me over the "half way hump" to my goal of 100 lbs. I will stabilize after this and hold for a few months until Round 5.   8. Lost the 3 lbs. thank goodness!

    P3 this time has been difficult. I have come to the realization that I have not kept up on my water intake. So drinking at least 48 oz of water each day. That is including the ice in my protein smoothie. Cravings are gone. Man that was tough. I have since learned that cravings are a way that our body is detoxing, or you have critters in your tummy, needing to be fed. Once you feed them, carbs or sugar, they quiet down again. So thinking of doing a cleanse or two after P3.

  9. Don't read this if you are hungry! 3 LB Gain overnight!

    So.......Woke to a 3 LB GAIN! yup you read that right. I know why for the most part, but before you start judging me let me see if I can make verbal sense of it all. Yesterday I decided to have some bread. Not just bread, but carrot bread with nuts and raisins. Small, but still, come on you say, What were you thinking? not! that was the problem.   10. Reshaping!

    Thank goodness for baggy clothes and tape measure. I decided to go ahead and measure even though my measure day has typically be Friday. And I lost 5.25 inches since the 17th of April. Ten days! It's so rewarding! I'm glad I documented it all. My before pics were lost. So all I have are some pics from last summer and I'm not even sure I want to look at them. I cried last time.
