Undersize Me... My Hcg Journey

Back to "Lithe", Back to Reality...

Day 5
Weigh in: 123.4

I'm disappointed I'm only down .5lb since yesterday. I fear my "little cheats" are sabotaging my diet: stealing a corn chip while serving my children lunch, ignoring the canola oil ingredient in the baked green bean crisps, swiping a collard chip into the hummus... uggh...

I wonder how much these little transgressions really count; do they really make a difference? Would I have lost an extra .5 lb? Did my body kick up the metabolism sensing there was a forbidden food ingested? Did my drops turn off?

Who really knows? If this is the weight loss rate (.5/day), I'm ok with that, actually. Already, I'm starting to see more definition in my collarbone and my stomach is finally (mostly) flat. Now, if I could just convince the thighs to do their part...

Those little cheats definitely do make a difference!

While the HCG is about losing weight, it's also about training yourself to look at food differently and recognize what got you to the point of needing/wanting to lose weight. So those little cheats may not seem like much to you, but if you give them up you'll strengthen your willpower and be much stronger afterwards!

(Also, corn and canola oil are so bad for your body, regardless of the HCG or not!)

You're absolutely right... the scale showed it this morning, too!
It's funny you mentioned canola oil, because I had always heard it touted as the "best" oil, but just last week read an ND's book on diet. She specifically mentioned the short shelf life of canola and how it is rancid by the time it's bottled, never mind by the time we use it...

    Thanks!
