Undersize Me... My Hcg Journey

The Prodigal Dieter

Weigh-in: 125

Oh no... I knew from the first moment I laid eyes on the snacks it was going to be a bad calorie day.

After the funeral, I went to the reception which had passed nibbles and desserts. After which my husband said he'd take us all out for Italian food -- isn't that great?! (Insert scream). All I wanted to do was try to mitigate the damage done at the reception and have a salad at home. But after co-mourning a lovely man, who lived life to the fullest, counting calories seemed trite and shallow.

Two glasses of wine and a full meal (including a shared dessert) later, I'm up .5.

I'm actually surprised it isn't more.

Ok. Friday is the beach party. No excuses, no cheating. I must repent and go to the house of protocol. Maybe someone will slaughter a lamb upon my return and I can make that my protein...

Well apparently calories are cancelled at Italian funerals b/c you only went up .5. Not bad at all.

I should have exhibited more control (like you, when you ate an egg before joining others @ McD's). I *did* make a point of exercising that morning, so I'd have a negative caloric start... must have helped a little, because I literally couldn't finish the whole veal piccata dish. Even though I've only been doing this a week, my stomach must have shrunk...

Yes well I gained 0.2 pounds when I weighed in Sunday morning and I didn't have a fabulous Italian meal and dessert. I had that crunchy crap on top of a McDonalds salad with chicken that was probably infused with sodium. Your food sounds yummy. And veal is on protocol. Thats great. I have been low energy and maybe I need an iron pick-up. Veal sounds like a good way to do that.
