Round 2: Rogue findings so far...

My off-protocol escapades so far have included:

Cherry Squash (sweetened with sucralose)
Diet Cola (sweetened with aspartame or sucralose)
Brussels Sprouts
A few raisins and dates and crystallised pineapple chunks (!)
Using tinted foundation moisturizer
Vitamin C tablets sweetened with sucrose and glucose (!)
Mixing veggies
One of the mustards I use I accidentally hadn't realised it has sugar - but has caused no problems

Jury is still out on whether mushrooms and brussels sprouts caused a stall with me. Might try them again in a few days and see. I also still want to see whether I would be ok with tuna.

First week lost 4.8 lbs. I am 5 days through my second week and have only lost 1lb but, rather strangely, I got my period on Tuesday 27th. I say strangely, because I haven't had a period since 18th October 2011...which was also the second week of P2 for my first round. So I think there's some weird water retention going on here rather than anything to be concerned about, particularly since it seems like I am losing the inches to catch up with the pounds I lost in first week.

I think the interesting thing with this will be to see if I stabilize well. If I don't, it could either be because of going off protocol, or my body might rebel against maintaining a low weight. Oh, and another theory I potentially have about my slowing weight loss this week is that it might just be that my body has no more abnormal fat to lose.

    How did gherkins go? I would LOVE a pickle now and then.

    Gherkins have been totally fine! If you think about it, they're essentially just cucumbers and vinegar so actually probably not that far off protocol really! All the things I listed up there though are things that I've been fine with and still seen losses, although the days after eating either the mushrooms or the brussels sprouts, I have seen smaller losses.

    Guess you never know until you try tho, cos what might work for me might not for you and vice versa.. So if you're feeling brave and can handle the fact you might stall or gain, then I say go ahead and try the pickles!
