I feel like I have spent the holidays "loading" so I was just not that into finding high caloric foods but did my best. I focused on what I thought I would miss over the next month and finished up with a filet mignon steak tonight. I am sorta sick of food right now and that is why I think I can make it through this protocol. That said, believe it or not, I actually had a couple of hunger pangs today! I am a bit worried that I have stretched my stomach out over the holidays and now I will be REALLY hungry while on the VLCD.

It did help to have a post to my first blog warning me that many people feel hungry the first few days, so I will definitely tough it out. I had done a successful round of Optifast a few years back with about 700 calories a day and I was hungry for the first few days on that as well, but after day 4 - it was a breeze. Hoping for the same on this. I just hope I can keep this weight off this time. It seems like there are so many successful people out there that have used this protocol. I just can't believe I hadn't found it sooner.

I will be scouring the blogs and board for info on dining out - that is the one thing that DH and I do quite a bit (Saturday night date night) to socialize with friends so I will have to come up with a plan for that. Well - here I go. Starting P2 today!
