Day 3 First day VLCD

Rate this Entry
So today was day one. I wouldn't call it easy but it was better than I thought. My daughter is heading back to college so we had a family meal planned for tonight...PIZZA. I ate my protein before we left and then ordered a salad with balsamic vinegar, no cheese (basically lettuce and cabbage but very fresh!). Tasted great, enjoyed the evening and had ice tea instead of wine with dinner. Didn't miss the Pizza at all - I must have had my mind made up.

The hardest part was actually that time between lunch and dinner. Felt very tired and sorta hungry (or empty??). The problem with empty is that I hate feeling that way and as soon as "empty" hit, I filled it. So now I go for lemon ice water instead.

Hoping I will see something on the scale tomorrow. I didn't gain on my load days at all but then again, I've been loading since Thanksgiving!

Make sure you drink LOTS of water. I will get rid of the hungry feeling, and also help flush out the fat!

You would not be the first person, Nor will you be the last person who finds themselves with a bad habit of "filling up on empty" I used to "fill up" all the time and not just because I felt empty but just because I didn't feel full. I ate ALL the time. We are so accustomed to being able to eat whenever and whatever we want, and the immediate gratification we get from putting something in our mouths. The good news is, I can say that it will pass and I now enjoy the 'empty'. Best of Luck to you in your journey.

Empty is the new full. After a while you won't even think about it.

Good posts from everyone else. Love the "empty is the new full" comment. Can't think of anything else to add. Good luck. Very good girls.
