Long time no talkie!

Summary of my whereabouts LOL:
My last blog was about 4th of July weekend, where I fell SERIOUSLY off the wagon hahah. But it was so much fun and worth it! I spent almost the entire 4 day weekend at the lake with my daughter and about 5 of her friends and some of their parents. Fireworks were banned here in SW Oklahoma so we did lots of other stuff to keep busy.... like COOK!
Let me tell you I ate whatever in the heck crossed my path. We made a giant thing of Pina Coladas every day... coconut milk, crushed pineapples, sugar, rum.... I had some oreos, some chips, hot dogs with buns and ketchup, smoked pork shoulder, potato salad..... etc etc etc etc. Yet I still kept taking my injections every morning BAWWWAHHAHAHHA I think I was afraid to NOT take them, I have no idea. By Monday I had gained 4 pounds (180).
I went back on protocol for a couple days, but still hovered at the same amount... regardless of water consumption or having BMs...So I stopped the injections. That was last Wednesday. From Wednesday to Sunday I did not take any hcg, I ate whatever I wanted to eat but in MODERATION and did not count calories. If I had to guess I would say it was around 1500-2000? But with no regard to cutting grains or dairy or sugar. Matter of fact, on my birthday (Saturday the 9th) I had two chocolate cupcakes/frosting and a giant glass of milk for BREAKFAST. lolololol. Yeah. I have issues.
ANYHOO..... Monday morning the 11th, after 5 days of eating whatever and no hcg.... still exactly 180. I didn't gain or lose not one pound. Hmph.
Those of you that have followed my blog randomly know that on P2 I had HUGE stall issues and slow loss and was very frustrated for about 25 out of 35 days on hcg. My total loss was 14.? pounds (BARELY) and I struggled for even that much. (With this new 4 pound gain my total loss from the beginning of Hcg is 10 pounds.) My stall breaks were when I cheated and I lost better when I went off protocol. My gut instinct was that the protocol just wasn't right for my body. I think the hcg is AWESOME but the type of foods on Simeon's P2 is not cohesive with my body. I think a big factor is DAIRY. I need it I think. I have been a milk/dairy guzzler since birth, and I also tend to believe in the links of calcium to weight loss. I also don't think my body needs enormous amounts of protein. Also the reason I've never like Atkins... too much protein makes me feel horrible. The one day I had a "protein day" I ended up vomiting and having urine retention and weakness, when I woke up the next day it was similar to a hangover. Ick.
So now I started thinking. How about I start P2 again and eat MY WAY and see what happens. Can't hurt! At least I'm still down 10 pounds.
I'm going to go out on a limb and trust my body, go with the flow and eat things (in moderation) with no rhyme or reason except instinct. Mostly it will be this:
1. Hcg 125iu daily
2. Lots of dairy, try to be low fat but not stressing it
3. Moderate protein
4. Grapefruit daily- when I went over my food log for my inital P2, I lost EVERY SINGLE TIME that I had grapefruit. Worth a shot
I ate a light breakfast Monday morning and by lunch had decided to for sure start Hcg again. I had my injections in the freezer so I popped one out, and as soon as it thawed out I took it.
Lunch was LF cottage cheese with applesauce, an oreo cookie, and an entire grapefruit. Dinner was a slice of spinach pizza and a large glass of 1% milk. Evening/night snack was buttered popcorn and a diet coke. Then a 1 oz cheese square. Bedtime... crossing my fingers....

The next morning I was down 1.5 pounds. Whaaaat??? Ok maybe it's a fluke. So I ate randomly again tuesday, grapefruit with breakfast, had some chicken to add a LITTLE more protein into things, and even had a handful of Fritos with my cottage cheese. Again a giant glass of milk with dinner too, which was a small bowl of tuna helper with peas in it.
Wednesday morning, down another 1.5. OMG!!!! REALLY?
That was yesterday. I AGAIN had a grapefruit with breakfast, one packet of 55 cal Korean coffee with Stevia, and a small chocolate donut. For lunch I had cottage cheese with pineapples, a small slice of real cheese, and steamed broccoli. When I got home I had a small Frito chili pie (Fritos, canned chili, nacho cheese) and a glass of milk. I had Apple Jacks cereal with milk for dinner (LOL we are moving tomorrow and I dont' want to cook). Late last night I had a small square of lasagna, giant glass of milk, and some canned spinach... around 9 pm and went to bed at 11.
This morning I am 175.5.


That's 4.5 pounds in 3 days.
And I'd also like to add that my TOM will be starting any day... My boobs are very sore and I feel a little crampy/bloated... so I actually may have lost more ??

I dont' know what the heck the reason is for this but I'm not stopping. I took my injection again today, and for breakfast had Korean coffee, a grapefruit, and 1/2 of a small choc donut. I do not AT ALL advocate my junk science diet, simple reporting on what's working for me

    WOW!! That is amazing. I'm seriously rogueing too. Yesterday I "Cheated" I think I might have had 1700-1800 calories. (did not have sugar, only cheated with nuts amd low carb icecream and popcorn. My body doesn't like sugar and processed carbs too much)

    I'm trying something comepletely different. (I'm not going to post what I'm doing on the main page to everyone until I get results. But, I thought you would understand)
    I'm cycling all within the same week: I went off the drops today. Today and tomorrow will be about 700-1000 calories (I've been having 700-1000 calories a day and I still lost 10 lbs this last week). Sat and Sunday I will eat p3, 1200-1600 calories).
    Sunday I will start the drops again and MTW I will stay at 700-1000 calories a day, then go off drops again next Thurs. I think this will work for me because it will keep my body guessing....we'll see.....
    If it DOES work, I think people will try it, cause it lets you be a little more lenient on the weekend....

    i like to consider myself pretty protocal. The only thing I do "off" is a jay robb egg white shake. I would looove to try to be more rouge. I just want coffee with sf creamer, i want a mixed salad!! I have wonder myself about the cycling "p3" weekends. I have my bridal shower on a weekend but then i can f=go back to p2 for awhile. I dont want to mess up all the weight loss and would like to "reset the metabolism" but i seem to be a slow loser too. especially on tom! Maybe im not slow, maybe im normal...but would be nice to be normal with a bit of free food. I am always almost under 500 cal and its super hard to stay on protocal wen you go to a wedding ( i have one tomorrow and one sat!!) I basically have to not eat. Please let me know how your experiment goes...now this diet has taught me, what works for one doesnt always work for another. you said you were going off hcg for the weekend and back on sunday, you dont wait the 2 days til its "out of your system to start to eat p3? Do you stick to p3 or do you just eat moderatly with lower sugar..and dd you take the hcg sunday? So sorry for all the questions...I would just love to see this work for me (who wouldnt). I dont want to go buck wild, but im getting a tid sad from the lack of options for not a huge weight loss. I miss the little things, lol.

    do you eat on p2 (ish) when you wheaning the hcg out of your system? like if you dont take the hcg on a thurs and fri you eat 700-1000 of chicken and veggies and such and then sat and sunday you eat p3ish but you start the hcg again on sunday? Just trying to figure it out.. i really shouldnt play with it, because im on a timeline i have to be done..but i would love to see if this works!!I should just not be a baby and try it for a day..whats a day? Its just wird that nursesrock, couldnt get the4 pounds off on protocal but she could eating what she wanted..thats insane and awesome! MAkes me want to take a break just to see

    Hi emross,

    This is what I'm trying:
    Sunday-p3 and start drops
    M-W- p2, continue drops
    TH, F- p2, no drops
    Sat- p3, no drops

    then back ro Sunday, p3, start drops

    I'm going to see what I weigh next TH morning. If I'm 5-10 lbs less, I'll keep going with this. If not, I will revise my plan

    Also, read heidihcgs logs. she had trouble her first round with stalling, but now she's doing great on this round. She's eating 750 cals a day because she's exercising. 500 calories is not enough calories to exercise with and will make your body hang on to everything instead of lose on hcg like we're supposed to. So if you exercise, increase your calorie level by the number of calories you burn exercising

    This sounds great, let me know how it works for you! I would have to start p3 early for 1 Saturday, so I would love to do this for a week or two, especially if your losses are 5 to 10 pounds! I'll take 5 at this point. Tom really messes me up, last time i did hcg it took me two weeks to lose 6 pounds and that was discouraging. I'm doing a fff day on monday. The first week ( like most) I always lose huge. I feel like this round I have the nerve to be more rouge... it seems most go more rouge each round..but if I see any small diff on the scale or no diff at all, it scares me to try anything further. This time I do not weight everyday..it drives me insane and everyday I dont lose or even worse, gain from TOM im in a sad mood...so I am weighing like every three to 5 days. Its more encouraging to see a few pounds down then .5! Especially during tom which seems to use up 2 out of my 4 week round! Would loooooove to play with it the way nursesrock did, but I dont think im that lucky for that to work for me, lol. Keep me posted on your experiment! I'm super curious...

    Heidi I think that's a really good way to keep your body guessing and it wouldn't surprise me of it works well!
    When I calorie counted a few summers ago and lost 40 pounds, I did the calorie cycling (I can't remember the actual name for it)... And it worked great! Plus I didn't feel bored and deprived.
    And update to the post.... 175 even this AM! Yesterday, my day was grapefruit, Korean coffee, choc donut breakfast.... Peanut butter and an apple for lunch, light yoplait snack, subway 6" sub with no cheese and a diet coke. I cant friggin believe I lost .5 after a gluttonous day like that. I think I pushed the limit, I won't be eating that crappy very often.... PMS got the better of me I think!

    Oh man! That is so awesome for you! I didnt even eat subway bread that much before hcg. Man I bet I couldnt do that...I may try the cycle plan though Im doing fff on monday and then we shall see. Depends on how heidi kates losses go...I need a little motivational push to say it can work. But it totally makes sence. Do you think it will be harder to stabilize when we go into p3 for good? Because I do plan on doing the 3 week p3 and normal p4. I may be able to stay on "p2" a bit longer if I do this...I just feel semi sad (mostly in the evenings) but at bedtime im like..I did it, another day. But Everyday, im like...hummmm im not hungry, but im sad my choices are gone..i wouldnt down a gallon of ice cream before ( ok maybe sugar free so i prob wont do it after. Im just floored how some people are like " ate 2 bites of chicken and gained " or had egg whites and gained...and some can go off completely and still lose? Crazy beans, I know id play with it more if I had more time. I thin k I may do cycle round after my honeymoon in oct...to lose that honeymoon weight. It seems most go more rouge every round they do. I can feel myself wanting to push the envelope more then last time i did hcg. I want a bitmore freedom back! I want to exersice like I did before... that will help in p3 I guess. sigh... im rambling, lol. Good luck to you both and def keep me updated, im so intriged but what youre doing!

    Did you cycle last week? Like go off the drops thursday and then start p3 on sat and start drops again eating p3 on sunday... curious how that worked out for you!
