So I am thinking...does anyone know or have you tried....

Rate this Entry
I am drinking all of my water and I drink one cup of coffee in am, one green tea in afternoon and Smooth Tea at night. As much as I am in the potty, I think I am retaining water. Which leads me to believe I might want to cut out Mrs. Dash. I use Mrs. Dash to season my chix that I stir fry at night for dinner. Anybody else use salt or salt like seasonings and have a problem? Because normally I never use salt. I never cook with it and I never use it on my food. EVER. Thinking adding this to my diet on the hcg diet might be making my body retain water. Although I am sure I got more than my share of sodium in the other foods I was eating. IDK, going to cut it out and see if helps with bigger loss.

I retain water immediately when I eat something salty or have salt. My dr did ok the Himalayan salt - supposed to be the only natural salt and should not harm you. But - from what I have read, if you are going to use salt - try to use a little every day so your system does not react to it.

I would bet the Mrs dash is a big part of your issue. I gain wt is I use it normally. They do have some wo it now.

I thought Mrs. Dash was salt free so you may need to look at some other things you are using. I use sea salt without any problems but when I use Braggs Liquid Aminos, I usually show a gain/stall. Also I tried brocholi and also showed a gain. You may be sensitive to a veggie you migtht be eating or if you mix veggies - that may also cause a slight gain.

In addition you need to think about whether or not you have "gone to the bathroom" the last few days. Usually, I show a stall or gain when I haven't gone to the bathroom in a few days. These are a few things to consider because it might not be the Mrs. Dash.

Even though you are eating only 500 cals. you still should be going to the "bathroom" every few days or so.

    I hope this helps.
