Round 2, Phase 2, VLCD11

Rate this Entry
Not the greatest day. I don't want to be a downer or negative, but I want to share my true experience so others out there can learn from me. Feeling rather puny and I'm not sure if it's the VLCDs/hcg taking a toll on me or if I've got a touch of a bug or what, but I'm really looking forward to the end of the day so I can just get in bed and get some sleep. I'm drained.

Per the advice of some knowledgeable women, I've added magnesium and potassium to my daily routine. It hasn't kicked in yet, but I just bought them during my lunch hour.

Against the advice of the same knowledgeable women, I went into round 2 of phase 2 after only 1 week of phase 4. I am thinking I may have been much wiser to wait the full 3 weeks before jumping into my vanity round because I'm struggling this week.

I'm up .5 from yesterday, putting me at 124.8 lbs. Hunger was an issue yesterday, after having upped my dose a few days prior (which initially helped my hunger issues), so today is a skip day. I'm still feeling hungry and I'm strongly considering skipping tomorrow and the following day so I can attend the birthday festivities on Saturday/Sunday (it's an overnight out of town ordeal) and just eat P3.

I dunno what is the best course of action, but I want to share with those of you reading so you don't make the same mistakes I do.

Thank you for the good advice Rabo. I am sorry you are struggling right now. Tomorrow is a new day. Going to bed early sounds good to me to . Hang in there. I'm sure you will make the best decision for you.

Thank you for the sweet support, Bav. Sometimes just a few little words can perk someone right up. 45 minutes till I get to go home and snuggle with my (11 year old) puppy.

Sorry you are having a tough day and I would also hit the hay as early as you can. Hopefully you will feel more refreshed tomorrow. It could be a bug, tho, which happened to me when gorging. I thought it was the gorging and only later realized it really was a bug. Either way, feel better soon and I love that you are sharing with others.

    Hey Rabo-
I am sorry you are having a hard day. I know tomorrow you will wake up feeling much better. I can relate. This round is easier and harder all in the same breath. Today it took all of my will power to not cheat on a piece of pizza. You are doing sooooo great, and are one of the reasons I am able to get through each day! luv ya girl

    Hi Rabo,

Sorry to hear that you are struggling, it may be too soon for me to say anything since I am at the 1st day of VLCD but one thing I can tell the difference was, even though I am exciting to see the weight lost but totally less enthusiastic in term of food, I am not interested in creating menu at all, unlike 1st round, today I just tossed veggie and meat together and make sure it cooked for some thing to pass one meal. I hope you feel better, its kind of you to want to help others even when you are feeling not great.

Sorry you're not feeling well, Rabs. I hope you rest well tonight and feel better tomorrow. I read over this passage in P & I in regards to my own round a couple days ago, just in case I would hit goal early and thought maybe it might be something you would be interested in (re)reading as well:

"As soon as such patients have lost all their abnormal superfluous fat, they at once begin to feel ravenously hungry with continued injections. This is because HCG only puts abnormal fat into circulation and cannot, in the doses used, liberate normal fat deposits; indeed, it seems to prevent their consumption. As soon as their statistically normal weight is reached, these patients are put on 800-1000 calories for the rest of the treatment. The diet is arranged in such a way that the weight remains perfectly stationary and is thus continued for three days after the 23rd injection."

Not saying that's what's going on. Just something I will be watching with myself as I get closer to goal. Feel better soon!

I think it's because you don't have much to lose, I experienced the same thing last round on injections. This time with pellets So far ok but only vlcd 3 for me . I think at times when you are so close to your goal weight this journey with hcg gets harder. Your body somewhat fights where it wants to plateau and we hit a wall so to speak. You have done so overwhelmingly great Rabs, give yourself a break. It can be hard at times. I hope you feel better tomorrow.
