Have you tried making your protein into a soup? Chicken cooked with water, seasonings and cabbage "noodles" might work. You could puree it if that would help.

Some people do alright with the Jay Robb egg white or whey protein shakes.

Quinoa is pretty low on the list of optimum vegetarian options. You can check them out here:

Thank you. I have switched to whey protein shakes and nonfat greek yogurt. Doing much better. I will try switching back in a week.
