teenagers....

Rate this Entry
I have 3 teenagers at home. All are awesome kids and have never ever judged my weight- good or bad (surprising since my youngest is very judgemental especially when it comes to looks). I suppose they have tried to be supportive of my diet in their own way but my son (14) is driving me nuts! He has decided that he loves breakfast- so the past few weekends he has wanted to try different breakfasts. I am on vacation this week so he decided that he had to have chocolate chip pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream..... On top of that I took him to the store with me to pick up the ingredientsu and the entire time he is walking down the aisles saying "can you have this, can you have this" and your diet is so stupid- you are starving, and don't you just really ever want a cheeseburger lmfao.
My youngest has been 100% against it to begin with. I guess I hold weight better than most and I never really could have been classified as fat by anyone but myself (and anyone who ever saw me naked). She is constantly trying to bring me things like cookies, chocolate and even my favorite lotion when I say "I can't its not on the diet" she says "you're gonna be anorexic. My oldest stays fairly uninvolved but you can tell she just feels bad when she is eating something I can't (a perfect example is when we went to red lobster for my youngest daughters birthday and she was like "cant you just have one biscuit"

I am so over the same foods every day it is getting harder and harder to say no to the things I really miss. I only have one week left on phase 2 (which I think I am going to extend just a bit to get to my goal weight) and I really really want to meet my goal. Now that I have taken pictures I know I still have some work to do to get where I want to be (and that is back fat free).
So today I am re-committing myself to make it through cheat free until I reach my gaol.
Good luck to me.....

Good Luck! I understand how you feel with your kids, I have 4 kids,( 2 teenagers). Although I was fat, and didnt hold my weight well I am lucky in that my 2 oldest are very supportive of my diet, I guess I didnt realize how much so, until I read your post, so Thank you for sharing your experiences with your children. It has opened my eyes, this topic I dont see covered alot on here, is the impact this diet makes on Mothers with children. Especially young children, my toddler is going through a picky phase and I used to be able to get him to eat what ever I was eating, I stopped eating food he would eat so it has been harder than ever to get him to eat certain foods, which is very trying.
My youngest girl, (6 yrs old) Is always asking me to try something she likes, taste her lollipop or some other such thing, but she doesnt really understand why Mommy cant eat it, so I just tell her I dont want any thank you. Its hard serving your kids food that you cant eat/taste/lick... I think its the hardest part of my diet. Good Luck and keep your resolve up!
