  1. P2D21: It has been quite a ride this time!

    It's day 21 and I am down .6 today. 191.4. 8lbs down so far. It's been such a weird round, especially with the hormone mess and an 8 day period in the middle. It's like I switched my middle weeks with the last week and a half of the month. I've finally started picking back up, so I hope that means this week will be a good one. I am supposed to up the progesterone again tonight for the next 15 days, so I don't know how that will affect things. I really hope it doesn't. Or, if it does, it helps with ...

  2. VLCD4 - down on the scale, but not my favorite

    Another restless night with emotional dreams, though did I wake up down another .8 to 195.6. Still struggling with some nausea which affected my food choices today. I had collagen coffee, an orange, a hamburger (grilled, extra lean meat, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and a low carb bun), and a jrobb vanilla protein shake with a handful of strawberries.   3. VLCD3- let the emotions come forth UGH

    Down .7 this morning. 196.6. I didn't sleep well last night, and my mood has turned weepy. I'm happy to let go of all the water weight hanging around, but I'd just as soon not have it coming out my eyes! It would be one thing if I knew what I was specifically sad about today and could work through it and let it go, but there is so much going on in my life these days that it has become a nebulous pile.

  4. Star Wars Day and the force is with me! VLCD2 down 2lbs

    I started the day down 2 pounds- 197.3. Very happy about that. I normally like to wait til later in the day to write about the day, but I think I'm just gonna come back this evening and add on.

  5. Showtime: VLCD1

    I start my first VLC day up .4 at 199.3. Made it through fairly uneventfully, despite running myself to death all day and trying to find the time to stop and eat! I had collagen coffee, an apple, 2 hard-boiled eggs, a handful of strawberries from the garden, and a mixed green/spinach salad with grilled filet, cucumbers, green onions, 5 croutons, and a really yummy fat/sugar-free balsamic vinaigrette.   6. Load day 3... last of the pregame!

    I started the day back up .7, but the guacamole last night was sooo worth it. I ended up eating a lot more than I intended today, but hopefully that will mean the first VLCD week will go more smoothly. I had some collagen coffee, a big double chocolate muffin, some mozzarella sticks, oven fried sesame chicken, pasta salad, a loaded baked potato, and some broccoli today.     Load day 2...198.1. I'm down .7. Not sure if losing during loading is a good thing or not, but I'll take the losses where I can get them. Clearly I am still in the honeymoon phase where I am just excited to see this work and I am not yet discouraged by how hard it gets, usually on VLCD 2-5, and again around days 14-17! I hope acknowledging that out loud to myself will make it easier when it gets here.

    Right now, I am trying not to get to far ahead of myself and just take it one day ...

  8. Load Day 1-- Here we go!

    Today was my first load day. I will probably do 3 before the bottom drops out. I started the day at 198.8 this morning. I had a collagen coffee and a large bowl of oatmeal with raisins for breakfast, some deviled eggs, an apple, and bbq chicken with broccoli and a large sweet potato with butter for dinner.
