    When I started this diet, I promised myself that I would stick 100% to protocol. I've been doing a good job at it, but yesterday was a rough day. I was up all night Tuesday night with a sick kid. Then I had to work at 3 am. My sick son stayed home from school and I made an appointment for him. It was a busy day.     OK, so I went in to the this journey with total confidence that I could do this will no hunger along the way and just completely do it no problem. Boy was I wrong! It's like a slap in the face and why did I even think that it would be roses and kisses lol. Although, the weight loss has been very rewarding. I started on load day 1 at 259 and by the start of VLCD 1 I was at 262! So now on the morning of VLCD 4 I am weighing in at 253.8 How can I lose 8.2 pounds in 3 days! I know STARVE! I know ...

  3. .8 again!!

    Day 4 of the .8 run! apparently my body likes to lose .8 pounds per day. I'm good with it it is just funny to me how it can be so consistent! I have developed a few sores in my mouth. I know I have read that others have had this with the drops. Guess I'll go search out how everyone dealt with it. On a high note, I think i figured out the constipation thing and my body seems to be moving things along now.

    Well its officially an apple day! I don't have much else to say. I am bummed.
    Yesterday I ate:
    apple
    2.65 oz fillet seared (no oil) on a bed of spinach with a bit of lemon and a dash of sea salt
    cabbage soup-with boneless skinless breast chicken, cabbage, salt, pepper, poultry seasoning (gave daughter half the meat)

    water 2 tall smart waters, one short aquafina, 56oz from my cup
    nighty nighty tea

  5. Doing better and muffintopping my way to skinnier jeans

    So I'm starting VLCD17, and have 22 days left. I had a .8 loss on the scale this morning, which was encouraging, especially after I found that sugar in my multivitamin and cut it out yesterday. I am very certain my body does NOT like sugar on this diet, although I haven't had a problem too much with it previously and it doesn't seem to change much if I have my grissini.   6. H-u-n-g-o-v-e-r...

    So...the first few times I had alcohol in P3 my tolerance was sky high. I had to drink so much more than usualy to get "buzzed". So last night, DH and I decided to partake in a couple of cocktails. I worked it into my fitday tally ahead of time so that I'd stick to about 1500 calories. Poured my first VERY strond drink and should have realized after that one that my tolerance had significantly decresed. But what fun would it be to stop there?     Down 2 more pounds this morning, LOVE LOVE LOVE the first week of P2! Im changing things up this time around with regard to what I eat each day Im eating two different proteins each day whenever I can. Ive had fish for dinner the last two nights and have had awesome results, so I will probably continue that for awhile. Need to pick up some more frozen Tilapia at Walmart. Its so easy to cook just poach in a little water and lemon juice and sprinkle with Mrs. Dash Lemon Pepper. ...

  8. R1 / P2 / VLCD 15 - Aaaaaand then it happened

    Woke up to .2 GAIN this morning. That is worse than a stall.

    I am pretty sure it is water retention due to sodium intake yesterday. I made beef and cabbage soup...salty.

    I used beef broth and 1/2 a cube of boullion along with fish sauce and celery salt. According to my calorie tracker, I ate 3,476 mg of sodium (about twice my allowance for one day). But DAMN that soup was good!

    I would be more upset about the tiny gain, but I am certain it will be gone ...

    Down .6 lb. to 189.4. I fiinally broke into the 180's! I'm starting to wonder if the days of losing 1.2 or 1 lb or gone and the new norm is going to be .6 and .4 lb. That will make losing the last 10 pounds pretty slow. Actually with the off day I have every 4 days, I probably would not be able to lose it all with the time remaining in Phase 2. I'm starting to think about going another week and switch to P3 where ever I'm at, then do another round sometime over the summer.

    1.6 for a total of 10lbs in 5 days! Amazing! Really gives me strength to keep going. I can do this! I've been rotating everything. I think it keeps the body guessing! Going to pick up some veal, fish, and asparagus today. Never had asparagus! Any tips on cooking it? Oh also going to try to find some fat free/sugar free chicken broth and some cottage cheese.
