    A bit disappointed in myself. Have only lost 8 pounds but that was my very own doing. I stick to the diet well except that I went out quite a bit this weekend to celebrate my new job. I tried my best to eat the healthiest item on the menu when I did go out and I suppose it worked a bit since I didn't gain any weight but it definitely didn't help me lose any. Going to work overtime to make up for the wasted days and get back on track.

  2. Day 28 VLCD

    Day 28:

    Good afternoon this morning I was down 0.6 lbs and the hubby was down 0.4lbs. He is cutting out the Melba today to see if it helps his weight loss. I hardly ever eat it except when I have been active during the day; I donít lose very much when I eat it. Iím excited to see our measurements tomorrow! I have been thinking about the last couple of weeks we have left and I believe I will be in the 160ís when we are finished with phase 2 and the hubby will be in the 230 maybe lower. ...

    Starting VLCD9. I am down 11.7# from loading and 5.9 from my R2 LIW. Starting to notice that the scale stays the same some days but this pattern didn't start as soon as it did in R2. I stayed the same on day7 then didn't eat one fruit and dropped a pound on day 8 and today I stayed the same as yesterday. We will see what tomorrow brings. I have had so many stalls in the past I know the weight still drops as long as you are following protocol. So all is good. Only two more weeks since this is a shorty ...

  6. R1P3Day9: Seriously having a hard time eating ENOUGH

    Honestly, I just feel like I am eating ALL the time and still struggling to get the calories in. I know a lot of people here don't count, but I have a history of extreme restrictive dieting and so part of me using this protocol was to fix my metabolism so that I could eat normal amounts of food again!

    Yesterday was my highest calorie count so far - about 1100. In my first week of P3 I averaged about 800 calories a day. I am currently 1lb under LDW. Initially on P3 I was ravenously ...

  8. Round 2..ding ding ding, fight!

    Today is day 3 VLCD & I am comforted by the fact that I don't have to be creative in the kitchen. I'm thankful I don't have to agonize over my choices as I did in round 1...been there, done that! I enjoyed a so-so lunch that I gobbled down in a rush: albacore tuna packed in water, with a bit of added tomato sauce. Sounds nasty, but tastes great! I hadn't been to the store so my choices were limited. So limited, in fact, that the tuna & sauce was my only choice.

    I just discovered the joy of Fage. I tried it a couple of weeks ago, before I started the protocol. My father went to a grocery auction and brought me a case of 2% with the side of cherry. I tried it then and couldn't stand it. So there it sat in my fridge, with everyone on here singing the praises of how great it is. So I decided on VLCD day 16 to give it another try.   10. Day 27 - 282, tonsilitis.

    So apparently it was tonsilitis -- but I've been desperately sticking to protocol, and while I haven't lost during the ordeal, I haven't gained, either. Today was my first consecutive day of losing after getting sick, and I AM SO HAPPY. I found that upping my protein really does help, at least for ME, and so does dropping the breadsticks/melba. I don't think I've had them since um ... day 18? day 19? I feel good, though.
