    So I continue to stay stable. I wonder about this, especially when I see so many people struggle to maintain.     yep, it finally happened that I am up over my LIW 2 pound limit. Not just for one day but for 3 in a row. I'm not doing a correction day, though today will be a control day for me since I don't intend to exercise at all. I've pushed this week as far as exercise goes. 2 days of boot camp, 2 days of aerobic conditioning all in a row. On my control days the most I should be doing LISS, but after a couple of months with no exercise, it just feels so good ...

  3. Still adding in carbs/starches

    176 # I guess I'm a bit more than 2 weeks now into P4 and I'm going strong.
    I am still eating extremely clean , very low sugar , a minimum of prepared or packaged foods.

    Today is the first day that I am eating over 150 carbs. In p3 I started with 20-30 and was keeping it well under 50 on my first few days of P4, but since then I've really ramped it up, mostly because I am doing intense workouts 3 days a week.     This is me, mad at myself for blowing out half a blog! Redo!

    So here I am, age 58, nearly 40 years of yo-yo dieting, and in general disordered eating. I've just taken off 27 pounds....well I guess its closer to 25 since I've reached p4.....and now it's time to add in starches and live the rest of my life.   5. P4 one week......its good to be back!

    It's been a busy week and I am officially through 1 week of P4! I've been lucky in that I don't seem to be having issues with any particular starches, but I do think that adding back in starches in general has pushed my weight up a bit. This makes sense since the body retains more fluid to process the starches. Add in the fact that I also started back to the gym this week and it is no surprise to me that I am sitting exactly at 2lbs above LIW.

  6. P4 / Day6 Back to the gym

    So here we are in P4. Everything has been going so great, I thought I'd get myself back to the gym. I stabilized in p3 and my body seemed happy at 176.0. I can live with that. It's only .4 above my LIW, right?

    So on Friday last week, my first day of P4 I went to the gym and did a 20 minute interval training on the elliptical, then went downstairs to the kinesio machines and did some very light weights, just to move my muscles through the range of motion. Saturday and Sunday ...

    I started P4 today....officially! I'm going to try to do the FMD, but I feel ill prepared, though I've read the book a couple of times. I didn't want to jump into it, especially into the first phase that is a sudden immersion in carbohydrates, grains and fruits. So I'm going to back my way into it.     I had a big long post about P4 all written out yesterday and then managed to blow it out of the water before I posted it. No problem, today is a new day and I've decided to hold off a bit on P4 anyway.

  9. P3 Stabilization Day 19.......Happy Anniversary

    Today my husband and I celebrate 32 years of marital bliss (well, some biliss, some not so bliss but overall iit has been a blessing) . He has taken the day off from work and we are headed out to the beach to do some whale watching, then who knows what else! Tonight will be a dinner out at Mac's Shack. A sushi, raw bar and seafood restaurant here in town. Not fancy but really great food and for all the time that we have spent in this town we've never been there.

  10. Stabilization.......Day 13........still trying to make peace with food.

    I have said it before and I'll say it again. The simple (not easy) part of this diet is P2 where the rules are laid out and boundaries are set and someone tells you when, what, and how much to eat. And no matter what is happening in your life, if you want that weight to come off, if you've invested a lot of time, hocked your jewelry or sold your youngest child to be able to afford the HCG, you will follow those rules to the letter to avoid losing 0.1 lb less than you think you can squeeze out ...
