Gained .5/think it was the turkey burger!!!

ON DAY 5 OF VLCD... HAVE LOST 5.5 SO FAR.. WITH TODAY'S GAIN OF .5... A LITTLE UPSET, BUT I KNOW THIS IS A LEARNING PROCESS... I ATE A LEAN TURKEY BURGER WITH A SALAD FOR LUNCH YESTERDAY. ALSO HAD DINNER LATE AND ATE MY 2ND FRUIT LATE WITH DINNER AT ABOUT 9PM... I DRANK PLENTY OF WATER... NOT SURE BUT HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE BETTER TODAY...

GONNA START A LOG OF WHAT I EAT.. I THINK THAT MAY BE HELPFUL. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS OF WHAT MAY HAVE HAPPENED...? GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!

    I tried a 99% fat free turkey burger during P2 and gained the next day then stalled the day after that. Since it's not on protocol, that was most likely your problem. DEFINITELY keep a food log, especially if you are doing a long round. Experimentation is good to stave off boredom of eating the same thing day after day, and the only way you'll know what affects you is if you log it! Good luck

    I'm thinking turkey burger is the culprit. Turkey is not on protocol. There are definitley a few things you can substitute that weren't available in Dr. Simeons' day, but turkey has more fat than chicken and is not one of those things. Things that I have seen that you can safely add:
    Walden Farms dressings: No Fat, No Carbs, No Sugar, No Calories
    Substitute a lunch protein with a Jay Robb Egg Protein Shake with ice, stevia and your meal allotment of strawberries added. We are allowed eggs, so this is a good alternate and many experience added weight losses with it.
    I say stay away from chocolate delite in P2. If you have to have a sweet treat, try sugar free 0 calorie jello.

    thanks for the ideas... looking forward to today... going to focus on what i eat for sure... not bored yet... will definitely keep an eye out on new things and ideas...

    sorry about the gain but you seem to have it under control now, excited about your loses so far that is amazing!
