Still doing well with a couple of hitches

Rate this Entry
Very pleased with my loss so far. Had extreme hunger and weakness at end of first week, almost what I would call one of my old adrenal fatigue attacks, and ate 1200 calories before I felt better. Ate on program except I had some butter on my breadsticks. Lowered calories to 1000 the next day, and decided to go to 800-900 to try to feel better. Paid with 2 pound gain over 3 days, then started losing again with around 850 calories per day. I feel much better with this higher caloric level so will keep doing this. Had one more day of hunger a week later and ate 1200 calories again, then my weight was level the next day, but I immediately dropped to 850 the next day and lost the day after. So I'm finding my own way I guess, and I just need more calories. I'm having additional fruit and protein, and an extra bread stick or two.

Had lots of stress with an emergency remodel of a small bathroom due to a pipe breaking in my 75 year old house, and too much had to be fixed, so more cost effective to just do it all. So it's been noisy and disruptive, plus the added stress of the sudden expense. But I'm doing ok, not feeling hungry or as weak on more calories. I will be completely happy if I lose more slowly, not a problem for me. But it appears that I'm still losing just fine, 12.4 pounds half way through the first round.

Clothes are an issue, am wearing belts on my jeans to keep them up, and my old XL size blouses and t-shirts are very roomy. Will have to grab a few large size t-shirts soon and I have size 14 jeans on hand so will have things to wear. But I need to try on my other clothing soon as I will be traveling in June and might need some alterations. The diet is truly amazing.

Hi! So glad I found your blog, looks like we have very similar stats. I'm 5'4" and started at 199 and now halfway through R2 I'm at 189. I'm 21
I also eat more protein and calories. It slowed down my losses but I've been battling a flu for more than a week so I've been all over the place anyway. Keep up the amazing work!

Thanks for your support, madhealing! Wow, the flu can screw up all sorts of metabolic processes. I find it so interesting that we are so far apart in age, yet the diet still works for both of us. Just amazing! Take care of yourself and go slow and give your body enough to heal with.
