Losing Like a Man Part 2

HCG has been a God send! I am still seeing great losses, even 19 days VLC. 33 lbs in just under 3 weeks? Insane, but ever so cool.
I do get a twinge of losers remorse, because I am losing so well. OTOH, if I didn't let myself get this big, my losses wouldn't be so great.
My dear HCG sister PamelaDo had mentioned that she hadn't seen anyone lose more than 40 lbs in one round. Since she seems to be losing at the same pace I am, it looks like we will both meet and beat that one!!!
I know a lot of people are upset by the FDA and long and slimy arm halting the sell of HCG. Once their new "weight loss" pill has been introduced, and lots of folks who don't remember the Phen Fen debacle start taking it, then the FDA will lighten up (hopefully not at the expense of human life, but we are talking a gov agency here, so if a few folks drop dead, eh).
From what I understand this new pill is a mixture of two pills (sound familiar?) and you can lose 10% of your weight in a year (what a deal! With HCG I lost that in 19 days). So those who are the HCG naysayers will have something "safe" (hahahahahahahahahaha, sorry, safe from the FDA, I crack myself up), to take, and the pressure will lessen on everything else, including HCG. Industrious companies will not let a cash cow like HCG get away.
I will bring my thoughts to a close here.
If you are having a rough time, or not losing at a pace you think is too slow, then look back to what you have lost, and average it out. You will find (mostly) that you are losing a lot faster then the medical "pound a week" hypes.
This diet is tough. It takes dedication and focus. It means denying "treats". But what it really means is this: Do you want to lose weight? If you do, stick with protocol, if you don't, if you would rather have those treats, then stop giving your money to HCG and just buy things you want to eat.
If you aren't serious, HCG won't help you. There is no magic pill. You lose weight because you reduce your calories and HCG focuses on the abnormal fat.
Healthy should be everyones goal.
Eat to live. Don't live to eat. You are just digging your grave with a fork.

Rusty, congrats. Now, according to Dr Simeon, you are to stop after you lose 34 pounds and/or 40 days so you r body can make adjustments. Your liver and other organs need to cleanse - and the 6 weeks of stabilization is critical to resetting your hypothalamus. You will continue to reshape in P3/P4 (lose inches), before Round 2.

redefining me, that is true but it also says unless the person has a substantial amount of weight to lose. Here is the excerpt from Pounds and Inches.

The treatment is stopped when either 34 lbs. have been lost or 40 injections have been given. The only exception we make is in the case of grotesquely obese patients who may be allowed to lose an
additional 5-6 lbs. if this occurs before the 40 injections are up

This is me going a bit "rogue". I am becoming very in tune with my body, and if I stop, (because of how I am), HCG just might stop too. If I hit a long stall, or am not feeling right, I will transition.
I really appreciate the concern, redefiningme, and I know that you and tryn2getfit are absolutely right. Thanks.

Hi Rusty, you are doing incredibly well! But you know that! I've enjoyed reading your perspective on things but like my friend, redefining me, i am a little concerned. If you are feeling fine and still losing well...i would say your body is happy! You are already past 21 days, which is good. Just promise to check in with Grammy if you feel any discomfort or oddness. Glad HCG is working so well and very glad you are in tune w your body!

Thanks for the concern Julie. I have a family to take care of, so my health is a major concern. I will be careful.
