Losing More Inches Than I Am Tall!

I am on R2 VLCD 60 (yes, I am going long, and no, I wouldn't recommend doing it this way). After a disappointing weight loss week, I took my measurements, and found that I am down another 4.5"! Yea! That's 30" since the start of R2.

Looking back on R1, I added up my losses and found that I am down a total of 74.5"! I am 69" tall, so I have lost my height plus more (with plenty more to lose!).

Never put all your faith in the scale. Measure too! When you don't see much weight loss, you just might see a bunch of inches lost (which is almost as good! LOL).

    OMG! - 60 VLCD days. What do you do to stay motivated and not get bored with the food?

    I'd love to do a long round. Any tips on what keeps you going.

    You inspire me to "keep going" no matter what.

    hCG has been a blessing, and has really taught me that I do not live to eat, I eat to live. Food is not my friend. Food has never brought me comfort. Food doesn't love me, or even care that I am alive. What food is, it's my addiction. I treat it as such. The difference between me and a crack addict is that I have to use my drug of choice, I cannot just quit eating. So, I have been learning a new way of eating that doesn't encourage my addiction (for me it's Paleo).

    Yes, there are times I do get bored, but food is just to keep me healthy. I choose between chicken or steak, sometimes fish. I pick a veg to go with, usually some cherry tomatoes from my garden, or a huge cucumber dipped in mustard (mustard is my go to condiment now, that and homemade cocktail sauce with shrimp).

    Again, I would never encourage anyone to go off protocol. We all have to decide for ourselves. By the time I reach my goal, I will have been on protocol for more than 100 days. This is what works for me. I also stay real tuned into my body, if I were showing signs of weakness or mystery body pains, I would transition immediately. My health is main reason for going so long. I don't care about the loose skin (side effect of losing weight quickly), and am not doing this for any vain reasons. I am very lucky, I have a husband who loves me for me, and would like to have me around for a very long time, and truely doesn't care about my appearence, he just sees me as his beautiful wife (he seriously needs glasses! LOL).

    The odds are against anyone trying to lose a lot of weight, like I am. The neigh sayers love to go on and on about how I will quickly regain the weight. I don't listen to those people. I've got me in my head just egging me on to screw up! What I have done is learned, read, and educated myself about my enemy (food). Right from Sun Tzu (The Art of War) "know thy enemy". With my research, I have come to the conclusion that I will have to live a low carb lifestyle forever. I just love bread and cakes, and cookies, and chips and tortillas (dang, making myself hungry), all those things that will make me fat fat fat!

    My motto is: I am one slice of bread away from 325 lbs. I won't go back!
