As I have mentioned before, after reading WLA, I'm only going to weigh myself once a week. I must admit, it isn't easy! Today would have been the first drop on the scale, a large one of course, so my instinct was to hop on the scale this morning and be overwhelmed with joy. (Keep in mind DH got on the scale and list 6.5 pounds! Men...)But that's not what this round is about for me. It's about a new way of eating, a new way of thinking. Yesterday I wasn't hungry, but twice I wanted to eat just because. I fought the urge, and will continue to fight each day. Hopefully it will get easier, and I will be able to take comfort in the fact that I am changing my habits.

I also did a detox bath for the first time in my life last night. I was skeptical, but holy moly! I was sweating withhin a couple of minutes. I did 1 cup baking soda, 1.5 cup epsom salt, and 1 tsp of ground ginger. I was actually lightheaded and fatigued after the bath, and continued to sweat for about an hour! Strange, but it did feel good, so I'm going to make it a regular part of this protocol. Unfortunately my tub is tiny and the drain doesn't hold well, so it's not as comforting as it should be. But it's still enjoyable.

I just thought that I can't wait until Sunday so I can step on the scale...bad Mindy!

    I am only weighing on Sundays and this is my first round of HCG. I am on phase 2 Day 5. I don't want to obsess over how much I am losing or for that matter NOT losing so I decided once a week is best for me. I lost eight pounds in the first 2 days and then the next two days stayed about even with maybe a 1 pound loss. I have read that it is good to weigh to decide which foods are good or bad but I think the benefit outweighs this negative. I am following the protocol with the exception that I have been mixing vegetables. I did not mix today and am going to try not to mix until Sunday to see if this helps with the weight loss. I have an overall goal of 60 lbs.
