R1P2D32: After 32 days, I'm only down 13 lbs. Only 2 lbs down from my 12 day stall.

I started at 150 lbs. 32 days ago, doing the homeopathic drops. I was hoping to lose at least 20 lbs for my first round. As of this morning I am only down 13 lbs, at 137. After my 12 day stall at 139, I still wasn't losing much. So, three days ago I did an apple day. The next day I lost 2 lbs and finally hit 135. Then yesterday I gained 1 lb. This morning I had gained another 1 lb. I went back up to 137 lbs! I just don't get it. The inches are not coming off of my body either. I've done everything to protocol, and yet I haven't lost like everyone else seems to be doing. How on earth does one not lose when they are only consuming around 400 calories a day??? I've gotten very frustrated. Maybe it's time to get off of P2 and go on to P3. I really want to get down to 130 lbs though for this first round. I just don't know if that is going to happen.

I don't even know what I can eat on P3 except for no sugars and no starches for three weeks. Do we watch how many calories we take in? I would appreciate your assistance here. Sorry, guess I'm just a little depressed tonight. I've worked so hard, and been so patient. Thanks for listening.

Suzy I've just read thru your blog. I really don't have any advise for you that I haven't already seen posted here. I was wondering if by chance you got a bad batch of drops? I've read somewhere on the site where people have changed their drops and found that everything was fine then. I'd assume that if your drops weren't working, that maybe you would be hungry? Not sure about that either because I've also read that after so many days on a fast, you can get used to it and possibly not be hungry. *shrugs* I suppose all I can do is tell you what I've read and who knows if any of it applies. But, if it were me, I do think I would be suspect of the drops. By process of elimination, it seems you have taken everything else into account.

I took hhcg and when I ran out, the second bottle was a different brand. I took them for at least the last week of my 40 something day round. I don't know if it was the drops or if I never got the dosage right. But, honestly I could have stopped before that week because I never felt like they were working as good as the others. Plus, it showed in my weight loss. I lost 1 lb those last 7 days. Had they been working better, I would have kept on going longer. Could have been the drops....could have been my body telling me it was time to stop???

I'm sorry Suzy, I know you have had somewhat of a difficult round. Katrina may be right, wondering if your drops are still potent. On the other hand, I don't know how tall you are, but 135-137 is a pretty reasonable weight for someone 5'5. Are you around that height? Maybe you are close to an ideal weight for you. The losses will go slower, the less you weigh. I'd be tempted to go on to p3 myself, in your shoes. You don't have to count calories, though a lot of people do keep track of them, you just have to stay away from any sugars or starches. And they're everywhere! You especially want to up your protein at first. And while you don't count calories, you still want to increase them because you want to reset your body to as to eat more calories and keep your weight table. Try not to be depressed about all this, you've done great thru a difficult round. Hang in there. Hugs

And Dubbles, I wouldn't be surprised if she loses weight on Round 3 when she ups her proteins. Suzy I just have a sneaky feeling that may happen because your calories did run so low. Mine usually ran 450 and on rare occasion 550. If you exercised and didn't increase proteins in P2 it might cause you not to lose. I stated walking my last week which could have caused my weight stall. (that or the new drops - who knows - so many variables) I too am curious about your height, age, and bone size. I'm large boned and I'm 5'6" and at my age (49) and bone size, I think I might not look healthy under 145-150. That's what I weighed in High School and was a good weight for me. I so hope things work out for you!!

Hi Katrina and Dubbs, Thank you for responding to my sorrows. Sorry I'm just getting back to you. I was out of town yesterday for a eye doctor appointment in Reno. We went to the Peppermill Casino for lunch. I had turkey breast, probably about 150g, and raw spinach with vinegar and lemon. Then had an apple for a snack that I had picked up at Trader Joes, along with more asparagus, cucumbers, bok choy, strawberries, and grapefruit. For dinner I had 100g chicken, and 1.5 c sliced steamed asparagus, and 1 cup strawberries around 8:00. Total 479 calories.

Ok, gals, I am 60 years old, and 5.5 inches tall, and my bone size is medium. I've been trying to stay between 400 and 500 calories for the last few days by adding the two fruits back in. Yesterday morning I did reach 134.8, and this morning I was 135.0 lbs. So at least I am going down some. I want to get down to 120-125 lbs. I'll see when I get there, but 9 years ago I got down to 128 and felt so much better. I still had some fat in my belly and waist though, so I will see when I get there. I store most of my weight around my middle, and from years of yo yo dieting, I just kept putting more stored fat in those places.

You did mention the exercise, which got me thinking. I do normally walk on my treadmill about three times a week for 30 minutes. I do a medium walk, at about 2.5 or 2.7 mph. Maybe this is contributing to my slow weight loss and stalls. Since I wasn't really working that hard, I didn't think it would have much effect. Maybe it has had though. Hmmm. I had a blood test the end of my first week and my cholesterol was 280!! My LDL was 203!! My cardiologist and MD both got very concerned and wanted me to take a statin. To me that seems impossible, but then it makes sense if your body is releasing the bad fat into your blood stream during that first week on HCG. But the count scared me so I kept up my walking on the treadmill for my cholesterol.

Today is my Day 34. I'm still on the drops, hoping to reach 130 before I end this round. How many days can I stay on P2 using the drops? I'm just keepin on at this point, hoping for the best. Thank you again. Love and appreciation!!!
