  1. Here is how to calculate your hCG dose for your round.

For example's sake, I'm going to use the '2,000 IU' hCG strength.

Please note: whether you are using liquid or powdered (dry) -- hCG....that does not matter. With these mathematical formulas, we are only attempting to figure out how many IUs you will be dosing with....or, what amount of IUs you have already been dosing with.

There are actually only 3 different mathematical formulas you can use to figure out ...
  2. Feeling down - One week into HCG

I am not one to "blog" these kinds of things but I'm feeling down and desperate. I started my HCG injections last Thursday night at the naturopath's office. I was 131 pounds and expecting my time of month in the next couple of days (I was bloated). Anyway, I hate my regular normal food all of Friday and Saturday and started on P2 diet Sunday. Egg whites, veggies, extra lean ground beef, melba toast, that whole thing. I was doing well and I weighed myself yesterday at 124.4. I don't know ...
  3. VLCD 8 - 11.8 down - Poor Sleep & First "Counseling" Session

    Down only 0.4 this morning.
DH reports that I slept like I was possessed by a tornado last night - I don't feel more tired than usual, but that doesn't say much. I know restless sleep is not good sleep. Hopefully sleep had something to do with it. In retrospect, the shots have made me feel much more energetic, so I suppose by recent standards I was pretty beat today.

I went back to the weight loss office today for my first "counseling" session. Total ripoff, ...
  4. hCG - here I come (or go, I hope!)

Started with New Beginnings, hCG shots started Friday, 5.17.13.... 3 day load schedule - but not excessive grossed out gorge style, more moderate, focused on fats and carbs.... started on Thursday just to make sure I had it down right!

Staring VLCD in the morning. Have prepackage 3.5 oz of chicken breasts in freezer - side note - the snack package ziplock bags are perfect size for 3.5 oz! Included mine with ...
  5. Loading Days 1 and 2

I am overwhelmed by the comments that I received from my previous blog. How amazing is this community? I love that I can join a forum without judgements and just acceptance. You guys rock!

Loading Day 1 was uncomfortably comfortable if that makes sense. I enjoyed eating and feeling like a pig as I scarfed down my planned out menu.

Breakfast - 2 Fried eggs, 4 bacons, 2 sausage patties
Snack- Pears, 1/2 round trader joe's brie, starbucks white chocolate mocha ...
  6. cynical dot com

Well, after great persuasion by my medically qualifed daughter, I have agreed to try the hcg diet with prescribed injections.

Very nervous and unsure from the start and spent hours researching the internet, only to find more criticism than recommendations

Concerns - yo yo dieting, starving myself only to put all the weight back on at the end, that you would lose weight anyway on a 500 calorie diet, all hype, all money making profiteers behind it, another diet scam, ...
  7. P2D1 with RX Injections

OK, here I am starting over, again...for the last time, I swear! Long story short my drops went bad, and I finally took the leap to rx injections. I received the package on Thursday, loaded Saturday and Sunday, and my P2 journey begins today.

The hcg I am taking is hucog. Received 2000IU powder vials, added 8mL bacteriostatic water, and filling syringe to 0.6 (equals 150IU daily). I must say, injections are WAY EASIER than drops! One shot in the morning and that's that! No waiting ...

  8. Loading Day 2 - already losing!

So yesterday was not fun - I hate eating fat fat and more fat! I couldn't make it to the supposedly recommended 250 grams of fat for a loading day - I don't want to make myself sick!!!

    Today's weight: 231.5

    LOSS: 2.2lbs

^What?! That is crazy! I lost weight after eating garbage... I just can't believe that at all but I'll take it!

It was injection #2 today at 9:00am (I'm shooting for regular injection times if possible). So far I've only ...
  9. Hunger and dosing

One thing I've learned over the last two years.. it's easier to recover quickly from too high of a dose than it is from too low of a dose. The level of hcg in your body is the average of the last 72 hours on homeopathic drops or pellets or the last 96 hours on RX injections or sublingual. If you feel a dose is too high, you can skip a few doses on hhcg or a day on rx and it comes back down. If it's too low, it's never a good idea to take a bunch more all at once. You have to do an increase ...
  10. Round 2..ding ding ding, fight!

Today is day 3 VLCD & I am comforted by the fact that I don't have to be creative in the kitchen. I'm thankful I don't have to agonize over my choices as I did in round 1...been there, done that! I enjoyed a so-so lunch that I gobbled down in a rush: albacore tuna packed in water, with a bit of added tomato sauce. Sounds nasty, but tastes great! I hadn't been to the store so my choices were limited. So limited, in fact, that the tuna & sauce was my only choice.

    I went by the
