  1. Here is how to calculate your hCG dose for your round.

    __________________________________________

For example's sake, I'm going to use the '2,000 IU' hCG strength.

Please note: whether you are using liquid or powdered (dry) -- hCG....that does not matter. With these mathematical formulas, we are only attempting to figure out how many IUs you will be dosing with....or, what amount of IUs you have already been dosing with.

There are actually only 3 different mathematical formulas you can use to figure out ...
  2. Back in the saddle (again!)

I'm starting another round of HCG drops and as I was checking out my blog posts from way back in 2011 (I've done a few rounds since then, but not with the same success) I thought I journal this round again as I think it helps me stay on track.

I did a round the year before last where I got quite close to my previous weight and but I didn't sustain it, that's the test for me.

So today is R5 Loading Day 2 and I need to get more calories in as I haven't eaten a bunch. I didn't ...
  3. Round 4, VLCD #1

Today is the kick-off day to my round 4. To memorialize things, this morning the batteries on the scale were not in correctly. When I put them back in the scale, the scale didn't even turn on. So I *THINK* I gained 8 lbs on loading, but am not sure. I think my starting weight after loading is 174 but again, not sure. Today after work I'm going to stop by the grocery store and get some Smooth Move Tea and some new batteries. Also I'm going to try to get my husband to measure me so I can track ...
  4. Loading days Vlcdp from tomorrow

Started last week but cheated on and off. Realised that I need to load properly and take multivitamins to stick to protocol. Loaded today. Start again on P2 tomorrow. Blogging here to keep myself honest. I'm going to write everything down. This round doing vegetarian not vegan. Not sure what to eat for protein other than egg. Protein powder and cottage cheese. I've read should only have these 3 times per week. I don't want soy as I have thyroid probs. I'm going to make vegie broth and ginger tea. ...
  5. Happy 4th of July!

It's been 6 months since I came on last. Time just flies.

Well, I recently had a breast reduction. It was much needed. I was going to physical therapy, then to acupuncture for bad neck and back pain since the pt just wasn't working and I am not one to take pain meds. So after my last round I gained my weight back bc I was not able to be active from all the pain.

It has been 3 weeks since my surgery and yesterday at my follow up I got the ok from my surgeon to go on ...

  6. Loading Fats vs P3/P4 Fats

Something I've always wondered about, and even moreso with the recent influx of first-timers: Fats. On a basic level, I get it. They're not the enemy. Many of them are good for you in moderation. When I'm not in P2, I definitely don't cut them out of my diet (moderation and type of fats is key).

But as many people that have done more than one round will readily tell you, they're shocked at how much food and fat they can eat in P3 and P4 while not gaining an ounce (and sometimes ...
  7. Blog Posts Instead of Forum Posts (Also: R3 starts now)

Compared to some of the seasoned vets on this board, I'm still a relative newcomer - even though I've been here over a year. I've encountered some great folks and personalities of all kinds. And now that the new year has recently come and gone, I see a ton of new faces around (hello, resolutions). So glad so many have a place for support. Trouble is, there aren't enough hours in the day for me to keep up. With the January threads moving so quickly, I don't have the time to catch up and I feel ...

  8. Loading for Round 2!

...and after the breakfast I just ate, I'm ready for the VLCD. :P Don't get me wrong, it was nice to just eat and not think about watching the fats. I made a huge homemade fajita with scrambled eggs (whisked with cream instead of milk), cooked in butter, served with pepperoni and melted cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. (It's funny how inverse the situation is when we really want to eat something but we can't, yet when we are allowed to eat that something, we quickly lose the desire.) I used coconut ...

  10. First loading day... interesting feelings

    June 28th 2013
    R1P1D1 Weight:191.2
    Hello HCG world!,
Today was my first loading day its harder than i thought it was going to be surprisingly! Prior to the HCG diet i did not eat all that bad, i had the occasional sweets here and there but nothing tremendous. I find myself not wanting to eat junk food. It makes me feel like im literally putting globs of fat in my body. I thought i would love to eat all the food in the world, but I have a force my self to eat cupcakes, donuts ...
