Still losing...but still having trouble wanting to eat anything...

Rate this Entry
Hey all! So, I'm still losing. Starting my weight loss battle at 216, started HCG at 207.6 after load days. Now im on VLCD11 and I am at 196.20. 11.4LBS since HCG and 19.8 lbs altogether.
I am struggling with the fact that nothing seems appetizing to me. Yesterday for lunch I had beef lettuce wraps and for dinner I had shrimp lettuce wraps. I usually don't eat the same type of dish for both lunch and dinner, but I really like lettuce wraps and it sounded good. But today, I've 1/2 a mediun orange, 1 grissini breadstick, and for lunch 100g of non fat cottage cheese. I could barely finish the cottage cheese and didn't even eat my vegetable. I am worried that I am screwing up this diet because I am not eating enough at each meal. I am not sure what I will eat for dinner...since so far nothing sounds good.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions? I am going to try and buy some chicken broth tonight and maybe try a soup of something. I have lots of recipes at home for Phase 2 that I got off of the forum.
Well anyways...I am not getting discouraged...just worried and hoping its just a little phase.

On a much more positive note...my husband told me today that he could really tell a difference in my body and that I looked really good! Yeah! He has always told me that I look good, but the fact that he noticed changes in my body was so cool! Love those moments.

Have a great day!

Even if you're unable or not wanting to get the rest of your food, you HAVE to eat the protein. You need it for energy, and so your body doesn't start eating your own muscle.

So if you can't or don't want to eat, make sure you at least force down that protein. You could add in a protein shake (Jay Robb is a favorite on here, but I've used Body Fortress just fine).

I kind of look at P2 as just sort of eating to get the necessary calories in, not eating for enjoyment. Some of the food I make is tasty, but sometimes I have to force myself to eat those celery stalks.

Just remember, too little calories can be just as bad as too many. Get in those 200g of protein a day, and then TRY to add in the others. (Personally, I don't do the grissini).

Cassanina - thank you for your comment. I think I might try a protein shake this weekend and see. I am still losing so that is good, but I do feel myself feeling more tired.
