I converted to the dark side.. I started drinking Starbucks. My cuppa joe of choice: Tall Vanilla Blonde Sugar Free with 2 tbsp half and half. So far so good, I haven't gained any from drinking coffee, but I don't want to speak to soon, no one really knows what the weight gods will bring tomorrow morning.
Posting my menu for today and yesterday's
P3 GUIDE:
FIRST 3 or 4 DAYS - Still keeping VLCD food choices but adding good fat; olive oil and coconut oil. Adding eggs and bacon. Calorie Count up to 1200 for the first 2 days and up to 1500 calories on day 3 and 4. If morning weight is 1.8 lb above LIW, will not add new foods to the diet and will do a correction day.
SECOND 3 or 4 DAYS - Mixing veggies but still selecting protein from VLCD list. If weight is stable will add on after 3 or 4 days. Calorie Count up to 1500. Start light exercise. If morning weight is 1.8 lb above LIW, will go ahead and do a correction day.
YESTERDAY'S MENU 3/20:
BFAST - 2 pcs nitrate free low sodium bacon, Veggie omelet (2 scrambled eggs with green peppers, tomatoes, green onion), Tall sugar free vanilla blonde roast with 2 tbsp half and half
LUNCH - 4 oz fried chicken thigh (in olive oil), 2 cups romaine lettuce
DINNER - 6 oz filet mignon in organic butter, 2 cups spinach, 1/2 oz pork rinds
SNACK - Organic pink lady apple dipped in liquid cocoa crack
Total Calories: 1455
TODAY'S MENU 3/21:
BFAST - 2 pcs nitrate free low sodium bacon, 2 fried eggs, Tall sugar free vanilla blonde roast with 2 tbsp half and half
LUNCH - 5 oz fried chicken thigh (in olive oil), Saute veggies (tomatoes, green peppers, mushroom), 2 cups fresh spinach
DINNER - 6 oz rib eye steak in organic butter, Saute onions and mushroom
SNACK - Pork rinds
DRINK - Lemon juice in hot water (to act as a diuretic and flush all the sodium out)
Steak in Butter
6 oz Steak
1 tbsp organic butter
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 F. Make sure steak is at room temperature. Salt and pepper only one side of the steak. Melt butter in oven safe skillet in medium high heat. Place steak seasoned side down. Season other side of steak and cook until well browned about 3-4 minutes on each side. Cover loosely with aluminum foil. Place skillet in oven for about 5-10 minutes for the perfect medium well done steak. Let steak rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.
Basic Veggie Saute
Melt 1 tbsp unsalted organic butter, add any combination of veggies 1 cup each. I usually select mushrooms, green peppers and onions. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-5 minutes, serve while hot.
